He’s got some moves…

Looks like he is in great shape. Considering how big he is….that’s incredible athleticism.

Hoping for good things out of the big man.

Must be easy when Amundson and Rashard Lewis aren't there to school him...

Take a look at the Vegas vids and that’s a better idea of where Jeremy Tyler is at.

Glad that He’s losing weight and playing…

but he needs better competition than the nobodies in this vid for him to be a factor any time soon.

this

Nice, highlight video…but I don’t remember seeing much of this in his in-game footage (from the little I’ve seen)

He's got some Amare Stoudemire in his game

The Autumn wind is a Raider
Pillaging just for fun
He'll knock you 'round and upside down
And laugh when he's conquered and won.

Im having a real hard time thinking of a guy that was 6’10 and over 255 that is more athletic than he is. I never seen a big in the league his size that can do the east bay funk. Good job Joe Lacob. I just wish you would have hired a big man coach for him.

I know right

watching Tyler last night was fun as well. I know it was a pickup game but he has some real talent for a guy his size and still being 20 years old. He’s the best dunker on the team already most likely, very athletic and he runs the floor well so you can tell he’s in much better shape. I really hope he works out for us, even if he has to go to the D League a few times I think he has great potential and could be another steal in the 2nd round for us

By looking at him in person do you see him as a 5 or a 4?

by J-RIDAH on Nov 6, 2011 6:37 PM PST up reply actions

I wasnt there

I was watching it on my laptop. I think in this day in age he can play 5 though. He’s still very young and will continue to mature and get bigger/stronger. He looked better than Biedrins in the game imo

He wasn’t any taller or bigger than Lou Amundson, and also like Lou, he has no touch at all: not shooting, not around the rim. I remember him throwing up a couple of mid-range bricks.

And, I realize it was a pickup game, but he didn’t hustle much at all. He kept cheating off D, or not running all the way back on D so that he could run out for dunks instead of going for rebounds. He can jump, but I don’t recall him grabbing even one board the whole game.

In summary, I’d say he’d be undersized for a Center and doesn’t really have any range or variety to his offensive game to play the 4. Beyond his ability to dunk and decent handles for a big, I don’t think he has much to offer. I’m predicting BUST.

We already talked about this.

Height is not a subjective matter. He’s much bigger than Lou and Lee by their measurements. To be exact he’s 2 inches taller without shoes and has at least a 6 inch advantage in wingspan.

When I saw them next to each other in Vegas, Tyler looked a bit shorter than Lee.

Maybe he slouches. lol. No way he looked 2 inches taller than either of them….or taller at all for that matter.

Dwight Howard? Amare (perhaps younger Amare)? Younger (but not super young/skinny) KG?

But yes, the list isn’t exactly long.

I dont know if any of those dudes could east bay funk.

by J-RIDAH on Nov 9, 2011 9:34 PM PST up reply actions

I think he's going to be pretty good defensively down the line.

I don’t see much hope for his offensive game however.
