Does anybody know how the lockout will affect the draft positioning of the Dubs?
There's that whole Nets trade and the fluctuations in the strength of schedule that make certain times of the year better than others for 2012 draft positioning. Not having the season would be pretty devastating in regard to the 2012 draft.

I'm sure it still depends on when the lockout ends
If the lockout ended Wednesday…then I’m sure it’s buisness as usual and I predict that the Jazz will get whatever pick we get.
If the lockout lasted all season….then it’s less predictable.
I think it’s the opposite, actually.
If they do play a partial season, there’s a small chance (maybe 10-15%?) that we could suck badly enough to be a bottom 7 seed — thereby keeping our pick. We could whiff in the FA market, the team could fail to jell, or continue to play no defense, Monta could be “bad Monta,” Biedrins could continue be a shell of himself, Curry could get hurt, Jackson could have more ridiculous rotations than Smart, etc.
On the other hand, if season is cancelled completely — and if come next summer there is still a draft and there is still an NBA — you have to assume that they would seed the teams according to their records in the most recent full season, and just re-do the lottery. As the #11 seed, the Warriors would then have a 2.9% chance at a top 3 pick and a 97.1% chance of losing the pick.
Best case, imho: the Warriors hit the mother lode in the free agency or trade market, end up with Dwight Howard or Nene or Chandler and/or Iguodala (possibly dumping Biedrins, Lee, and/or Monta in the process), instantly transform themselves into a Top 3-4 seed, and saddle Utah with a crappy #20-30 pick.

(best case obviously assumes that at least a partial season happens, which is looking rather iffy at this point).

So if your a top lottery team, your kinda rooting for the lost season. 2 #1 picks in a row would be worth a missed season.

I don't know if you can assume that they'd just repeat the lottery order.
I read somewhere recently that when the NHL lost a season, they did a weighted lottery draw based on finishes from the last three seasons. Something like that makes a bit more sense.
Just a thought
If the players decertify is it possible there could be no draft at all, as incoming rookies are considered FAs just like anybody else?
I don't know what they would do if there is no season.
I think they would still hold a draft, but I’m not sure what the draft order would be. They could still hold a draft, they just wouldn’t be able to sign them right away. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that and they can get in at least half the season.
we'll lose our pick most likely

what's the protection? top six or seven?
I think we may actually have a chance of keeping the pick (assuming lockout lasts all season)
sounds like drafting might be determined by a rolling 3-year average of worst record.
Dubs would come in right around the 6th pick…so there is a chance we’d keep it
