Samuel Dalembert – Unrestricted
Kyrylo Fesenko – Unrestricted
Erick Dampier – Unrestricted
Francisco Elson – Unrestricted
Hilton Armstrong, – Unrestricted

I understand we are out of the running for Nene, but he hasn't signed. How do you rank the rest of these scrubs that are remaining?
I'm going with this top 5 for the Dubs:
- Dalembert
- Thomas
- Armstrong
- Fesenko
- Brown

all horrible options but you forgot the best free agent center out there..
We should sign Marc Gasol before the rockets sign him to an offer sheeet. faaaaaaast. up the ante.
too late...
from hoopshype about 20 mins ago…“Ronald Tillery: Marc Gasol has agreed to a four-year deal with the Griz worth the max at roughly $58 million, the CA has learned”
>:(
Anyone we can get for 1 Year, i'd want.

Wait for trade deadline?
Always a choice, we have some decent trade pieces.
I'd wait for a Biedrins resurgence
rather than sign one of those names.
it depends on the price and whether they are willing to sign a one year deal.
Lets say they are all willing to sign for one year. Here are my top eight with maximum salary included. I would not want these players above the salary I post.
1.Dalembert-7 mill
2.Ajinca-3 mill
3.thomas-2 mill
4.fesenko-2 mill
5.dampier-1 mill
6. brown- 5 mill
7. pryzbilla-4 mill
8. armstrong- 2 mill
Pryzbilla is unrealistic, so I didn’t even include him. He would never come here.

crap i meant erase that last part about pryzbilla but I didnt. My bad.

Dalembert is not that much better than the rest of those scrubs. At this point it doesn’t matter. Anyone forward/center they get at this point is likely to put up Mikki Moore-esque numbers. It’s time to wake up from our big man-hangover and realize we have no wings or point guards that can reasonably be counted on to play significant minutes off the bench.

Trade Ellis for a big.
If that’s not possible, scrap the entire team, leaving only Curry. The Warriors’ idiot FO pretty much killed any hope for this bunch when they blew the amnesty on Bell.

lol
people are overreacting way too much on the amnesty…not like we were going to amnesty anyone else ever.

If we weren't, then the team's already doomed.
Lee’s contract in its later years will be a huge hindrance (it’s okay now) and Biedrins is a loser; I would do better as starting center, and I’m 6’2.

Exactly.
The amnesty is a huge deal. It’s one of the most valuable tools to come out of the new CBA, and the Warriors used it to make an offer on a player they knew they weren’t going to get. I don’t even view this as a basketball move, I view it as marketing debacle.

dwight and paul?
I’m just curious, is there a chance we can obtain Dwight Howard and CP3 via trades? Does it work out with the salary cap issues etc…?
It works in the trade machine!!!!
That really is a fabulous deal for the Magic. Three bodies for one!
There will be no extra point!

Hmmm let’s have a look…
Nene, Denver – Not gonna come here
Joel Przybilla – Stinks
Samuel Dalembert – Stinks – will be overpriced
Kyrylo Fesenko – Stinks
Erick Dampier – Stinks
Francisco Elson – Stinks
Hilton Armstrong, – Stinks
Dan Gadzuric – Stinks
Kwame Brown – Stinks
Theo Ratliff – Stinks
Etan Thomas – Stinks
Hamed Haddadi – Stinks
Alexis Ajinca – Stinks
PFortyy :)
'11 Champs!
Maybe the Warriors can get in on the Paul trade
Offer to give the Hornets Ellis if they give back Kaman and Aminu/Bledsoe.
Only would take Dalembert on 5-6 mil contract
If we cant get him at a reasonable offer, we should stick with bigs we have and try to sign a defensive specialist like Kirilenko

Dalembert then Ajinca, then Kwame 1 year contract.
save for D Wight

just to spark convo
how would everyone feel if monta was flipped for ryan anderson (and whatever to fix the contracts)
and then throw every dollar at afflalo?
It's lonely being the only Warriors fan at UMass :(
hes a really good role player
Proud member of Club FTR. falconPUNCH! for president!
I think afflalo would be a great replacement for Monta
But no on ryan anderson
Let's get Famous!
What if we take a flyer on this 23 year old d-leaguer with the classic name, Jarrid Famous? He’s 6-11 with supposed excellent athleticism and in his first 6 NBDL games has averaged 21 pts. and 12.2 rbds on 63% from floor and 76% from the line. He actually sounds somewhat intriguing on Draft Express as well. Heck, they even bother to complement his defensive potential in particular.
Honestly, I’d never heard of him (that I recall) before 10 minutes ago, but if we’re willing to plumb the Australian Basketball leagues for Centers, how about a relatively young NBDL’er who sounds like he could blossom into a destitute person’s Tyson Chandler?
This seems a safer bet with higher upside potential than throwing anything more than a cheap year (or possibly 2 reasonably cheap Dalembert years) at these other guys.
Go Warriors!!!!!!!
Nevermind
He’s in Pacers camp already. Well, one to keep an eye on, perhaps, if he doesn’t stick there.
Go Warriors!!!!!!!!
I'm a bit wary of NBDL big man numbers
The NBDL is really lacking in even serviceable big men so its pretty easy for any half decent one to put up big numbers there.
a la Chris Hunter

No strong disagreement here. More noting him as worth a training camp invite, but the Pacers beat us to the punch. Still a great name though :o)
Go Warriors!!!!!!

If Andris lived up to his potential (and his contract)
He would be a bad man
Josh Mcroberts?
Just wanted to throw out there one guy who shows up on some other free agent Center lists. He’s a former #1 high schooler, reasonably athletic and extremely skilled for his size and still young and noticably improving. Although I don’t first think of him as a Center, he played that role as needed for the Pacers last year, and his numbers compare pretty favorably with many on this list already. While we’d all love a beast on the post, Mcroberts passing ability could make him an interesting pairing with D Lee, especially because he too can pop out and even shoot the 3 a bit. He can also back Lee up at the 4 or play the 3 in a pinch with his ballhandling, length and mobility. Not predicting him to be a stud, but he’d be a versatile and interesting addition (perhaps at a reasonable cost).
Go Warriors!!!!!!

Here's what I don't understand...
Why didn’t the Dubs amnesty Biedrins? It would have been a win-win situation.
Best case scenario: you replace Andris with a better C and still have cap room ;
Worst case scenario: you have no actual C, but can grab a scrub and enter “tank” mode which is always good for a team that wants to be in the playoffs.
By amnestying Bell, not only the Warriors seem to have wasted a powerful undo tool but they will be the essentially team they were last season even if we account for a more mature Curry, Ellis and a non-bitten Lee. With Clippers upping the ante, how come the Ws reach the playoffs?
Unfortunately, I see them ending up in the worst possible area – between the 9th and10th position and leaving Curry wondering whether he should seek greener pastures…
