Why Not Help Facilitate CP3 to LAL?
I know, I know... I hate the Lakers as much as anyone else, but let's face it, CP3 will not resign with us here. It is just a fact. I keep hearing that Monta/Biedrins/Klay Thompson for CP3 is on the table, which I would do in a heartbeat if we could get Paul to re-sign, but we can't. If New Orleans is interested in those pieces, why not facilitate a trade for CP3 to go somewhere he wants (LAL) and see if we can something back worth our while.
NO trades: Chris Paul
NO receives: Monta, Biedrins, Klay Thompson
LAL trades: Bynum
LAL receives: Chris Paul
GSW trades: Monta, Biedrins and Klay Thompson (Would like to avoid trading Klay if possible)
GSW receives: Bynum
Why it makes sense for LAL:
With CP3, Kobe and Gasol, the Lakers would have three of the leagues top 20 players and would have a legit shot at making 2-3 more championship pushes. Yes, they are an aging team, but with CP3, the Lakers would have a franchise guy to build arround and attract free agents when Kobe retires. Also, CP3 wants to be there and will re-sign with them.
Why it makes sense for NO:
CP3 is leaving next year without doubt, so the Hornets need to get value and the sooner the better. Unfortunately for the Hornets, no team is willing to give up big pieces for CP3 if he's only going to be a 9 month rental so their trade options are limited to those teams that CP3 will re-sign with. In this trade NO gets the trade pieces they were coveting from the Warriors, CP3 goes somewhere where he'll resign and the warriors get the Center we've been looking for - everyone is happy. Also the league could save face and avoid a potential lawsuit by getting CP3 to the Lakers as originally proposed and accepted.
Why it makes sense for GSW:
A) We finally get that legit center we've been looking for leaving us with a core of Curry, Lee, Bynum. In my mind that is a playoff squad immediately with potential for much more if Curry and Bynum live up to their potential and we surround them with the proper supporting cast.
B) We get rid of two of our three worst contracts.
C) It might make the Lakers better in the short run, but soon Kobe and Gasol will retire and they will be left with only CP3. Sure they can always sign big free agents, but that is not something we can control.
Thoughts?

No to Bynum
I live in LA and can tell you that he’s immature and mega-injury prone.

why it doesn't make sense for NO:
they get a better deal if they leave the warriors out of it

I forgot to ask you, do you like guacamole?
What does David Stern receive?
We might have to send him a super nice fruit basket to get this thing approved.
fruit basket, and an autographed Jerry West b-ball
that should pretty much do it, right there
