Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

#FesenkoFriday?

I know GSOM's affinity for rallying around lesser players. I know that you will enjoy Kyrylo Fesenko. You'll probably enjoy his off the court statements and actions more than his on the court play.

He was one of the best defensive centers in the league last season. Here's what John Hollinger (Insider) had on him,

Last season the Jazz were an eye-popping 11.91 points per 100 possessions better on defense with Fesenko on the floor, and this is not a new trend. The season before it was 8.67; in limited minutes his first two seasons he also had a strong differential.

Synergy Stats, meanwhile, rated Fesenko as the second-best defender in the entire league among players who faced at least 150 opponent plays; the season before he was first. And according to 82games.com, opposing centers had a PER of just 10.4 against him; the season before it was 12.9.

As most of you have noticed though, he's a huge liability on offensive. If he and Biedrins were to combine their free-throw percentage, I don't think they still crack 50%. Every once in a while he'll pull off a spin move that will convince you that he's the next big thing and if he can just get it together, maybe, well....

I hope it happens. I hope that this new start allows him to develop and become a solid player for years to come. The NBA needs guys like this. He'll be an instant fan favorite (interpret that as you may) and will win you over.

I'm the owner of SLC Dunk. I also want to know if you guys want to take over #FesenkoFriday. It's a weekly caption contest we have of the big man with pictures from game play and a lot from his Facebook page. He even put up a while album just for us to use for #FesenkoFriday. My plan is to have one more going away FesenkoFriday this Friday and then turn it over to you if you would like.

Good luck with Fess. I hope he helps enough just to get you 8th from the bottom of the league :).

I feel like I'm giving up my puppy for adoption.

NOT COOL. You can have our pick, when we finish in the playoffs and it’s outside the lottery lol

Hahaha.

I suspect that our teams will be fighting it out for the 12th-ish spot in the league. Oh, and I sincerely hope that Steph Curry gets back to 100% soon even though we have your pick. It’s never good when a player like him is hampered by injuries.

We are much better than you guys.

No offense, but you looked awful against the Lakers.

They may make a trade with Millsap as the centerpiece. Favors looks REALLY good, by the way. Hayward has been good since the end of last year, too.

They're still not better than us

did you see how bad Jefferson and Kanter look? And Hayward and Favors still have a long way to go.

They may make a trade with Millsap as the centerpiece.

This will only make them worse. He’s their best player.

If I saw a 7ft 300lb dude standing in the lane...

there is one yhing he should do

if he ever wants to get any constant minutes on good level
lose some weight and add some muscle -i mean he should work harder
-he needs someone who could explain that working hard pays off

being just big is not enough

Yay Fesenko Friday!

If you're watching a blowout, you can pass the time by counting the double teapots.
