Golden State Warriors List Stephen Curry As Day-To-Day After MRI Confirms Sprained Right Ankle
After USA Today reported that Stephen Curry would be missing tomorrow night's game against the New York Knicks after injuring his right ankle in the win against the Chicago Bulls last night, the Golden State Warriors have officially announced that he is day-to-day after a MRI confirmed the sprain.
We had a similar discussion after the second preseason game, but with two games under our belt it's time to revisit it: if Curry does not play, who should start in his place?

It don’t really matter who starts, it matters who plays the best. We could either go with little Splish and Montay or with Montay and Mt.Rush more? Play Klue less and get Charles Jenks in the game

Reggie!!! He did last year! Ooops. We let him go. Lin!!! Oops. We let him go. Rush, Ish, Jenkins?
Well, Rush, gets to show if he can fill Reggie’s shoes, as well as Reggie filled Curry’s shoes. Ish can spell him. Jenkins? Much as I like him, don’t want to do that to the rookie after only a mini-camp, 2 preseason, and 2 regular season games (the latter he played zilch – great job, Mark).
Anybody remember Ronnie Fields out of Chicago? This is what he says about small(er) guards in the backcourt (Interview by SLAM).
SLAM: From a talent standpoint, do you think you could have played in the League and had some success?
RF: Oh yeah, definitely. That was the Jordan era, the big guard era. I’m 6-3 now, almost 6-4, so at the time, they were saying that I would have to play the point. But you notice that era changed. Most of your scorers that come off the bench, your Jason Terry’s, Jamal Crawford’s, a lot of guys aren’t actual point guards. A lot has changed now. You can put two guards out 6-3, 6-4 together. Last night Boston had three with [Ray] Allen, Nate Robinson, and Rondo. So yeah, definitely now. And even back then I think I could have played, it just would have took a process of watching and learning, but I still know could go out and compete at that level
Miami is basically the exception
But almost every team is going with a small backcourt for offense, and mixing in a defensive big guard.
Doesn’t matter who starts really.
The only thing I know about him is he could throw down ridiculous dunks.

Klay...
Hopefully getting into the starting lineup will get him some confidence hopefully getting his game going. If not, we still have Rush to come off the bench and give that spark we will need.
Start Rush. Give Klay like 15 minutes.
Rush has earned the big minutes. Start Monta at point guard and spell him frequently with an Ish and Jenkins combo.
I’d love to see what Jenkins can do.
Got love for the WCC.

Curry should play tonight
Because I’m going and taking someone who doesn’t know much about the Warriors. Therefor I need best impression possible.
He can sit on the road, when I’m not at oracle.
WTF is this?!?!
why is Curry’s agent saying he’s out through saturday?
Lance Young, Curry’s agent, told USA Today that Curry would sit out Wednesday’s game and that he would not play again until Saturday against the 76ers
Not that I disagree (would actually prefer that he fully rest it), but it seems extremely odd to me that his agent is making this proclamation

…but Lee looks like he’s lived in zero gravity his whole life"

They earn their cut by being a spokeman and by watching out for their players best interests.

sure
I get that his agent is just doing his job, but am pissed that he thinks he has any actual power….everything I’ve seen out of our actual organization says Steph is not ruled out for tonight

unless Binky is planning to dump his agent he’ll be the closest thing to hearing it from the horses mouth.

Well, at this point in time, Curry has been officially ruled out.
In hindsight, announcing that Curry is a game time decision may be a strategy thing against the Knicks, to keep them guessing as to who the starting five will be and what strategies to use against us.
