The Warriors had much more health in the starting lineup in January, as well as a schedule with many more home games. The Dubs took advantage of those facts and posted a respectable 7-8 record for the month. The four game winning streak against the Clippers, New Jersey, Indiana and Sacramento was the Warriors longest in three seasons. Immediatly following that however was a 4 game losing streak to the Clippers, Spurs, Hornets, and Bobcats and a 1-4 homestand to close out the month.

Monta had what was probably his worst month of the season in January, but he was still able to carry the team at times with his scoring. Ellis's shooting efficiency fell to the levels it was at last year, where it seemed like he was taking too many shots. Games such as his valiant 38 point effort against the Lakers and his back to back buzzer beaters during the four game winning streak showed that this is still Monta's team. What made January different from December, however, was Stephen Curry's increased production. Curry followed a disappointing December with a productive January in which he averaged 19.3 points on a season high 48% shooting. Curry provided the second scoring option (and impressive performances in wins against Sacramento and Utah) that kept the Warriors around .500 for the month.
