I don't really agree with his assesment. Reggie is a shooting guard, not a small forward. My assesment is that Thornton was brought in to backup Wright so that Reggie can stick to playing in the backcourt where he's at his best. I don't see how Thornton could be a replacement for Reggie. They are 2 completely different players. The fact of the matter is that we didn't have a back up 3 and now we have one. Whether he's a good one for us or not is yet to be determined, but I don't think this has to do with trying to replace Williams at all. If the Warriors front office is smart they won't let two quality shooting guards walk in back to back seasons.
