At Mosswood Park: Hook Mitchell, meet David Lee
Mosswood Park. The genesis of some pretty darn good ballin'. With the success of Jason Kidd leading the Mavs to the Finals, the rumors about Brian Shaw (not) staying with the Lakers, as well as a recent chat with one of my refs -- who happens to be David Doubley of UOP/NCAA tourney fame -- about today's organized ball vs yesteryear's pickup playground ball (specifically at Mosswood, no less), I found this blogpost by Daniel Turman apropos.

I always loved hearing the stories of how much David Lee gives back to the community around him. He’s really the polar opposite of what you’d think of in a highly-paid professional sports player: always humble, always reaching out.
I know that the forum faithful really only care about the on-court stuff, but if we were to trade him, I know I would really miss him for the things he does both on- and off-court.
I completely agree.

Mosswood = Rucker Park of the Bay
“Hook” Mitchell dunk over car > Blake’s dunk over car

without a doubt Hook's was better
He cleared THE CAR as opposed to Blake’s clearing only THE FRONT END.
Played in that park once and got my a** handed to me. Even the worst players there have skills. Like the other post stated…it is the West Coast Rucker.
On a side note, everyone should pick up the film ’Hook’d’. Highlights Hook’s time in prison, his playing days, and has interviews with Payton, Kidd, Greg Foster and other Oakland stars.
"That was very funny about the old man basketball skills. One is lucky to escape injury when playing against those crafty, crusty sumbitches. And it’s just demoralizing when they demonstrate yet again how to use the backboard from range." - Charlie Custer

what was he talking bout at the end
about him, ron artest, and baron davis playing in the kingdome?
i am from jersey so i would love to see not rucker but nyc’s best(because there are other great parks in nyc: the cage, soul in the hole, etc) against mosswood’s best
it makes summers quick though waiting an hour just to get on the court and having to play your butt off every game and most of the time you are winning 25-23 or something high like that if you have any skill
