He is franchises royalty, energetic, innovative, a true basketball guru, for me he would bring back the feelings I had that caused me to fall in love with the game in the first place, how we played together as one and so majestically beat all the powerhouses to take home the trophy..

Of all the candidates none of them come with more pedigree that Rick, he was a coach on the floor and drove his teammates to achieve the unthinkable, an NBA championship, a team that Alvin Attles put together with Rick as his centerpiece and role players around him.

Al was brilliant because he recognized the magic that was taking place with Rick being the leader on the floor, he was one of the most fierce competitors to ever play the game, he not only beat you with his skill sets but mentally, he was a very cerebral player, able to recognize your weakness, very methodic in his execution…

It’s time the new generation of Warrior fans get to know the enigma that is Rick Barry, I would love nothing more than for the new owners to at lest bring in Rick for an interview….I think it would show class for this organization to show some props to arguably the greatest GSW of all times Rick Barry…the man with the “Golden Gun”

I realize Rick was not well liked by some teammates because of being brash and a no nonsense guy, he played almost conceded, with a chip on his shoulder, even arrogant at times, a pouter,  yet I loved watching that conceded arrogant pouter play the game..

With age comes wisdom, and this is where Rick is at right now, he understands the game, his BBIQ is through the roof, nothing would be greater than for him to be given a chance to lead this team to the promise land…
