So I have been thinking alot about the dubs the last week. Being pulled through the coaching hire, assistant coaching hire, Monta rumors, collective bargaining agreement deadline, the draft, and so many other things this last week I thought...... What if absolutely nothing happens and the dubs just draft 11 and stay pat, what is the best case scenario? For whatever reason I thought about the current make-up of the team and it conjured memories of the 04 Pistons who won the title. I know everyone is gonna rip my post apart because of "defense" but I would like to just draw some sililarities to the two teams

Curry=Billups

Curry I can definitely see as taking the role of Mr. Big Shot for the dubs. Control the game, make the big shot and know when and who to pass the ball to at what times(Mark Jackson getting the PG's best out of Curry)

Monta=RIP

Scorer, comes off screens for baseline jumpers, otherwise creates good shot for self based on working for position on offensive end. 

DWright=Prince

Intangibles people, jack of all trades, good size, good all around game. DWright has the 3 pt shot Prince has got the D

DLee=R. Wallace 

Worst comparison of them all, but highly effective on offense the both of them, able to knock down open looks from the perimeter, trash talkers

Udoh=B. Wallace

Wallace has got Ekpe on the glass, but Ekpe has got some flashes of an offensive game. One on one defensively, Ekpe is extremely good, and could end up having Wallace like career numbers on the defensive end. 

In closing,

I hope the dubs keep Monta, and see how assertive he can be on the defensive end for a whole season. I would absolutely hate myself and every Monta hater on this site if Monta becomes an all-star for another team, or wins a championship without the golden state logo across his chest.

No Monta trades that don't involve the dubs getting a super-star!!!
