Greetings from Seattle.
So, the season is over. Now we're talking Monta trades and draft picks... but there's still an elephant in the room. How is everyone feeling about the CBA this off-season?
Do you think they're going to take note with the mess the NFL is in and actually get something done sooner than later?
I personally find David Stern to be one of the biggest morons in the public eye in this country (akin to Sarah Palin); and after experiencing his "bargaining" when he was trying to get the Sonics out of Seattle, I don't think he'll ever give in until he gets every little thing he wants... which makes me nervous.
I also am not sure what side to take, personally. I feel for the players because they're constantly on the road, and play so often, whereas in the NFL I side with the owners because the players play once a week, don't try in practice (not saying NBA players do either), and are home 5 days out of the week.
I'm just looking for opinions and conversation to not only enlighten myself and others on the issue, but also be able to form a prediction of what we can be expecting.
