2nd round pick Isiah thomas
I think he would be a steal in the second round. we could use a scoring punch off the bench. He's got serious offensive game as a back up point guard he could really pressure the other teams bench. I think he will be a player in this league. Like a jj barea (super awesome case scenario), nate robinson, or the little guy we used to have back in the day. i feel like we dont have a back up point guard and if we steal him in the second round strictly as a back up energy punch off the bench it would be amazing. I feel the same way about shelvin mack from butler if isiah is not available. he's bigger and has some game for back up purposes.
In my opinion if you can get a player that can give you minutes in the second round then you have to take him as most second rounders will not last in the league. Unfortunately there's no monta ellis's every draft.
go ahead guys let her rip.

We need defence
more then anything. The last thing we need is another one dimensional player that can only score and won’t help on defence. If we can pick up any bigs late in the draft then that would be great. I think we should give lin another year

Also If we can pick up 2 Bigs in this year draft maybe we can sign Afflalo and he can fill in for the size that Monta lacks. Just imagine Afflalo out ther with Curry Wright Udoh and Biyombo thats a defensive group right there
Where's the strength?
I feel like even if 3 or 4 of those guys are defensively skilled, it could still get pushed around. It’s also not that quick to make up for the lack of strength. I think it’d be decent defensively, likely than better than what he have now, but it would also struggle offensively. I don’t feel it would great enough defensively to make up for that.

Yes!!!
Afflalo or Wilson Chandler would be great! If the Ws can get two bigs who can play and get one of those two, the playoffs are a real possibility

He would be a huge steal in the 2nd round.

On the bright side, the UW pipsqueak spells his name correctly: Isaiah.
Too bad he’s not 1/1,000th the player Zeke was…
Also: if this diary is any indication, the constant misspelling of his name on this site could get irritating. It’d be a shame to get rid of "Brandon" Wright (and "Monte" Ellis?) only to pick up "Isiah" Thomas.
There will be no extra point!

it's good we don't have a chance to get Brandon Knight

"It’s not all about stats…you’ve probably never played basketball in your life. There are things called intangibles. He is what you call a winner. Led his team to a national title. We need people who know how to win. He obviously has to be doing something right." (dhod)
"When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind; it may be the beginning of knowledge, but you have scarcely in your thoughts advanced to the state of science." (Lord Kelvin)
How about DeAndre Liggins? At 6’6" he’s got good size for a 2, but can also play the 1 (he was recruited into Kentucky as a PG). His offensive game’s okay, but it’s his defense that makes him stand out. He’s one of the best perimeter defenders in the class. He does have attitude/leadership problems which is why he is a risk, but I think Mark Jackson could take care of that.
What Mark Jackson will say during practice:
"Monta! Hand DOWN, Man DOWN!!"
"Andris, you're better than that!"
"Stephen Curry, father like son. Shooters aren't made they're born."
"David Lee! Yes! Now that is a grown man move right there!!"
"Dorell Wright, he's a knockdown shooter."
"Acie, Oooh, that should be against the law!"
"They just gotta come out and compete..."

As a UW fan, I obviously love Thomas, but he's got a pretty tough road ahead of him.
He’s got the heart/drive to do it though, and he understands (and embraces) what his likely role would be.
He’s also actually a very good defender. Clearly he’s small, but he’s very, very strong and committed to getting stops (UW is a defense-first program, despite the high pace), and he often guarded the opposition’s best perimeter player this season for the Huskies.

Rick Jackson
I like Rick Jackson from Syracuse in the 2nd round. He’s a legit 6’9" 240 lbs, strong rebounder with good bball IQ. Works hard on both ends and is a class act.
I hope the Warrior brain trust are taking a good look at, a name I haven’t seen much on GSOM, Malcolm Lee in the second round. I’ve liked what I’ve seen him from him watching his games and he’s been impressing at his pre-draft workouts. And we know combo guards have done pretty well recently making the transition to the NBA, esp defensively. Would be good defensive size next to Steph off the bench (or even Monta but I’m doubting more and more that he’ll still be here).
Too bad Cohan doesn’t own another team so we can buy another 2nd rd pick. With our own pick, I’d go with Lighty – two solid defenders.

With this post. I really dont want to see lin or acie be our back up pg again this year.

We should be looking for a veteran back up PG
Someone reliable and someone Steph can learn from.
HoweveR I don’t see many options. Earl Watson, TJ Ford, Carlos Arroyo and Anthony Carter are available. I’d like Delonte West too, I don’t expect him to come here though.
I’m also intrigued by Ronnie Price and Dragic but they’ll cost too much for a back up PG
well at this point
steph can learn from mark jackson. he doesn’t really need a veteran backup to teach him. it would be nice to not see acie law coming in for steph though
Mo Williams?

I want to see us go after a project big in the 2nd.
