Ellis and Beans stock will rise by 25% in about a year because they will become expirings.. I am totally guessing on the 25% part lol, but, if i had to guess this would be it.. They will bring back a bigger haul in a year as opposed to dealing them now.. Teams trying to get them now may get a bargain (buy low , sell high). I would rather we reap the rewards.. Im not totally convinced they are worthless.
With a significantly reduced role by both of these players we not only will increase the odds of them staying healthy but give the other newer guys a chance to shine this year and see what they got. And by playing the back up minutes , Ellis and Beans will be playing against the other teams bench players. Hopefully against the other teams bench they perform better than they do against normal starters and again thier value increases even more.. (29%).
I think this may be the best approach in terms of handling these guys.. unless a good opportunity arises and we must strike while the iron is still hot and trade... I actually think both can be servicable as backups tho and think they are part of the deep bench we have been waiting for.
If there is any holes in my theory lemme know lol.. If im right tho maybe we can all take a break on statistically bashing or blindly supporting these guys, Ellis in particular.. Besides other interested teams that may want them, are gonna look at how we rip them apart for reasons x,y,z. Kinda just like the way we look at other teams sights to see how they feel about losing Iggy, or aquiring Beans.. oh, and if Evans can create another 20-25 "positive spins on Ellis and Beans" articles , we can use this propaganda to spread the love these two studs deserve around the league and do our part to make thier percieved value increase! (30.29%)
