I hate to beat a dead horse, but ...
Greg Monroe of the Pistons is destroying Larry Riley's ability to judge talent. Think about it ... Nelson got Curry. Udoh either needs to begin to start at Center, or he's going to be a bust.

this
are you seriously trying to pick one guy picked after Udoh as a judge of Udoh’s value?
Because you can pretty much do this every draft

Greg Monroe isn't destroying Larry Riley's ability to judge talent
You have to have an ability in order to have it destroyed. Greg Monroe is just helping expose the fact that Larry Riley isn’t a very good judge of talent.
my point is
Riley sucks. We need some beef. The Warriors for years and years … always fall in love with the “tweener” big men who cannot compete down low in the block. I’m tired of skinny dudes, who get pushed around, every night.

Warriors fall in love with nice guys
I honestly think Warrior management is quasi-prejudice
Once they like someone, you can't convince them otherwise.
Once they don’t like them, they’re done for.

Riley drafted the best post defender in the 2010 draft. Monroe is easily the better offensive player. But the dubs drafting the best post defender is not traditional at all.
udoh is not even a good post defender.

We needed defense, and that need was abundantly clear the last few years. We drafted the best defensive player available to strengthen the team’s biggest deficiency.

I understand that logic, although I'm far from convinced that Udoh is good enough defensively to make up the difference.
More to the point, however, we need talent. And it’s abundantly clear that Monroe has more value right now than Udoh. Part of that is because offensive talent is valued more highly than defensive talent, but part of it is that, right now, Monroe is better offensively than Udoh is defensively.
That being said, I Monroe isn’t the solution to “CoachBarry’s” concern about “skinny dudes, who get pushed around.” Unless Monroe has drastically changed his game since last season (and I haven’t seen him play this year yet) he’s a skinny guy, a finesse big, and not much of a presence on defense.
But it’s not worth fixating over because Udoh was a pick of the prior brain trust. Yes, Larry Riley is still the GM-in-name, but our decision-making brain trust includes several new names, and Riley’s no longer operating in the vaccum he was when he made that pick.
by the way
I saw an article in which Donald Fagen (Dwight Howard’s) agent said he isn’t interested in playing for the Warriors …

Udoh a good defender?
He was completely outsized and outmuscled guarding dwight last night. If he wants to be a good starting center he needs an extra 50 pounds on his body.
Yeah, he couldn't handle Dwight.
However, being able to handle Dwight is something only about a dozen players in the league can do.
Furthermore, the number of players who can do what Dwight can do – the combination of power and finesse that destroyed Udoh – can be counted on one hand with most of the fingers removed.

I agree with both your points.
Which is why is really sucks we lost Kwame who has proven his ability to contain other centers.. We arent getting dwight since he doesnt want to be here, we may as well offer kwame a 2 year deal when this season ends.

If udoh wants to be a starting 4, he needs to contribute more on offense.
He plays like a center with limited range. All he does right now is post up. Where is his range? He has no moves either.
Its near impossible to find a center who can produce on offense and defend, outside of dwight. We just need one that can defend period. Therefore, the burden on offense falls to our PF, whoever that is.
