Around SBN: This Week In GIFs

Sad to hear he wont be playing with the team but glad to hear it's feeling "great" and he's taking his time to give it more rest.

With that said, this is one of the easiest road trips the Warriors will go on. This road trip could potentially turn things around for GSW, all 4 games are winnable games, I just hope they take it one game at a time and bring energy, hustle & effort like we saw vs the Heat and Magic.

“Winnable road game” seems like an oxymoron for the Warriors.

The Warriors aren't keeping their pick this year

The only way they keep it is if they get lucky and win one of the top 3 spots in the lottery.

i thought we're top 7 protected...meaning if we lose enough to get the 7th pick...we keep it right?

but as a warriors fan i dont want to tank…but as a realist…we should.

but i dont think we’re going to tank…teams plays with too much heart.

curry & iggy TEAM USA buddies.

Yes

But they have a lot of competition for being one of the worst 7 teams this season. Even if Curry is out for another month, I still think they are better than at least 7 teams.

Washington
Cleveland
Toronto
Charlotte
Detroit
New Orleans
Sacramento
Houston
New Jersey
Minnesota
Phoenix

Utah is getting that pick unless the ping pong ball go our way.

Also, if the draft is widely considered so loaded

We won’t be the only ones racing to the bottom. The others won’t lose their picks, but they will be trying to maximize their chances in this draft.

I dunno

Houston, Suns, Charlotte, Sac, maayyybe New Orleans and Minny are at least our equals

it’s gonna be a close one!

I don’t know. The Warriors have beaten 3 good teams and nearly beat Orlando last night. They’ve been in every game they’ve played so far, with the exception of the Philly game. And this is without Curry for the most part. They may not be a playoff team, but I don’t see them finishing with a bottom 7 record.

by Pippen on Jan 13, 2012 4:22 PM PST up reply actions

dont forget that a good portion of those games were home games

the warriors are pretty consistently awful on the road

The only few sure things I can see that Warriors is better

are Washington and NJ, and NJ has DWill. I said bottom 7 is a sure thing for Warriors.

that's only 11 teams

a real man would figure out a way to out suck at least 4 of them.

My whole life the Warriors have sucked!

And I’m kinda old. Every year it’s the same dumb shit. Even if we make the playoffs, and even if we win in the first round, then what? No chance at a championship, just end up losers and no lottery pick…heck no draft pick. I gave up my season tickets long ago but there is always someone to fill the void. It’s why we stay so bad, we suck ass and the place still sells out. And the owners know it!

The worst thing is, if we get the first pick, we will just screw it up. Joe Smith instead of Kevin Garnet? We can go on and on about Tanking but if we draft a guy like Ike instead of Bynum does it really matter what pick we have?

Jeff Fuller!

I really hate being a Warriors fan.

This year we get to watch Greg Monroe make Udoh look like Joe Smith.

/sigh

Haha, I gave up my season tickets too

Warriors just can’t do it if they are not willing to make a gutsy move. Still don’t understand when NOH willing to trade CP3 for Curry and we backed out. It is not like we have another chance to land CP3 type of player anytime soon. I understand FO people wanna play safe, and get the best possible value for Warriors. True,.. but we are not in the position to ask things when we have the chance to land a superstar. It is not like we are Lakers, Boston, Heats or Dallas that players are willing to join the team for less money. We HAVE TO overpay and give up a lot to land a star, else we will stay the same Warriors team years to come, period.

You must be very young? We didn’t suck in 2007-08 . We were solidly in the middle of the NBA pack.

The Clippers history is pretty damn bad until they got Blake Griffin. We need a Blake Griffin to turn this franchise around. I’m rooting for Anthony Davis to be that guy.

The thing is, it is EST time, afternoon game

Warriors is never good at afternoon games. It is gonna be a tough win. I said we only have 30% chance to win the game.
