San Francisco 49ers And The 2012 NFL Playoffs: We Believe, Part 2?
Are we looking at a repeat of another magical playoff run in the bay? I sure hope so, because WE BELIEVE PART 2!

FEELIN IT!
Love all the positivity that comes the Niners way! I’m reppin my jersey @ work, my niners Flags on my car, and can’t wait for tomorrow!
GO NINERS!
Hey, somebody has to represent the Bay in the NFL Playoffs.
Although, I can’t say it’s quite a “We Believe” moment. The 49ers are comparitively much better than the 2007 Warriors were. The 49ers won their division easily – they didn’t squeak into the playoffs on some crazy late-season winning burst. Not taking away from the 49ers but their playoff run is less driven by fan belief than it is about being a really good team.
Of course, there are plenty of Warrior fans who rep the 49ers so I’m happy for them.
Heaven knows the Bay needs a sports winner around here.

HOW DARE WE TALK ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN BASKETBALL
THIS TEAM ISN’T EVEN FROM OAKLAND
This isn’t some long statistical analysis of the 49ers chances in the playoffs, it’s an incredibly short blurb wishing a local team some luck in the post season.
If you don’t want to see it, retreat to that Heat post game thread and throw an even bigger hissy fit when someone calls LeBron or Kobe a talented player.
Really, for a team that’s 3-7 and probably not headed to the playoffs, it’s not so bad to talk about something other than Warriors basketball on a Warriors basketball blog.
I liked the artwork you made earlier, Tony. I’m sorry I only added to the negativity of this.

Take it how you see it and move along is all I can recommend. I don’t wanna wish anyone ill will on the internet – lol, esp over sports.

Yeah, I kinda regret venting like that too
It won’t help. Warriors fans should be the most laid back of all. As I always say when wearing my Warriors shirt out here in NY, no one’s picking a fight over the Warriors.
Will SB Nation ever get an edit feature?

Ya I really don't understand all the hate.
Great article, R Dizzle.
Some of the fans on Niners Nation would’ve preferred a comparison to the 2010 Giants, but I loved all the memories from 2007 that your comparison brought back. It’s a really awesome connection between my two favorite Bay Area sports franchises and their recent success stories (hopefully the 49ers one keeps churning for a few more weeks) :)
And on a side note, I feel this article was meant for fans of both basketball and football, particularly the Niners and Warriors. To all the haters, no one’s forcing you to read it. If you’re not interested, move along and wait for the next post relating to Warriors basketball. Condemning the author for writing a fun, unexpected (in a good way) article accomplishes absolutely nothing. GSoM is a blog devoted to the Warriors, but on a bigger scale, it’s a community. Support your community.

"One thing LeBron James has won that Kobe Bryant never has, and never will: A bronze medal."- Josh Tucker
Just like the Warriors in 07, the Niners will be eliminated in the 2nd round of the post season.

i think they beat new orleans, then lose to green bay

Niners all day, baby
Amazing how people can get so angry about this.
Seriously. You don’t like it? Move on. Just be happy that the Bay can come together.
Seriously. You don’t like it? Move on
yeah, that’s pretty good intelligence quiz, just see who understands that they don’t have to read anything they don’t like on the internet.

I have a suggestion
for all of you complaining about this post- don’t click on it, don’t read it, and don’t comment in it. Then you won’t have to get upset and the rest of won’t have to get annoyed with you.
i told him that already
he doesn’t get it
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
two whole other people
yippee. i bet they didn’t click the link either because they all think it’s not warriors related.
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
I completley agree
with this Ginger Kid guy. This kind of stuff should be left off a Warriors blog. I am fan of every bay area team, and I think that if people want to talk about the 49ers, they should go post on the 49ers page so it doesn’t stir up issues.
will people actually read the post before commenting?
you’ll see that it is warriors related
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
I have read all the comments
on this thread, and you sir seem to not read what the complaints are. He is making the point that it doesn’t matter if it is Warriors related or not. He is saying that it is a post about a team that is not the Warriors. He has a valid point, I mean after all this is a Warriors blog.

by that logic
a post about dwight wanting to leave orlando should not be posted on here, even if the warriors are mentioned among the suitors, because the post is about orlando, which is not the warriors
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
if every post on here had to be directly about the warriors, not just warriors related
there’d be almost nothing
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
and again, and i want to reiterate this
if you don’t want to read it, don’t read it
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
boy, you are a testy little cuss aren't you?
by Holy Toledo! on Jan 13, 2012 11:55 PM PST up reply actions
if this post wasn't warriors related at all
honestly i’d have no problem with people asking to keep it off the board. i do, however, have a problem with someone who complains that non-warriors related stuff needs to be kept off this board, and then immediately proceeds to write a completely non-warriors related post himself.

Its funny
that you are calling him a child, and you are just as much at fault by continuing to argue with him. If you were “mature” you would have just stopped realizing that you arent gong to change his mind.

Damn... Woke up to this
I gave up on this argument hours ago, it ruined my entire day. I honestly would have just turned away but decided to argue with some folks over the Internet.

well, hope this helps, tony
Love the artwork you made, and love the collaboration you, R Dizzle, and Niners Nation pumping up two bay area fan bases. That’s how you bring it together.
R Dizzle, one small correction I couldn’t help but make—Harbaugh coached at the University of San Diego, not SDSU, before he got to Stanford. The difference is pretty wide. That said, yes, small 1-AA schools do have football teams with playmaking and coaching talent and should be given their due :-P

Go Niners!
Wow at all the negativity in here. No wonder I don’t come to GSOM like I used to.
49er faithful since July 11, 1985
Wow that was a long argument anyways
Im a raider fan and I actually don’t have a problem with the post because it is warriors related just because of the comparison. It’s just that the game is gonna be over by half time because Drew Brees is on fire!!!

Wasn’t the Giants winning the world series We believe pt 2? They made the playoffs by one game over the Padres. Then again they won it all in he end not just one series, so they’re like “Believe it” more than we believe. I don’t see the Niners winning it all but good games though.

A more apt analogy for the Giants winning the World Series would be eating one's own feces.

Wouldn't that be the Broncos and not a 13-3 team that clinched its division mid-season?

for the spectator : Competence or Brilliance ?
why not New Orleans, for those who love the apotheosis of the forward pass brought forth by Gilman and Walsh ?
as for comparing an eighth seeded n.b.a. team with a second seed, fans can make up whatever their wishful thinking imagines, but the Yorkists had very good players with a clueless coach, overhauled the coaching staff , made a few high quality personnel changes to make their great leap forward. Nelson accomplished more with less — nary a single elite player on the 42 and 48 win teams.
