But Warriors related in a round-a-bout way....

If you were the Neil Olshey (Clips GM) would you trade Blake Griffin if it meant getting Dwight Howard?

As a Warriors fan, would you be more worried/less worried/ remain freaked out no matter what, with a combo of Howard and CP3?

Dwight has added the Clippers as a team he would play for, but they won't be able to get anything done unless they traded Griffin.....

Nope, If Dwight really wants to come there they could trade Jordan for a 1st or 2nd round pick in July and sign Dwight flat out.

this

If I’m the Clipps GM, I’d remember what it cost NY to get Melo.

I’d be willing to offer Jordan, and whatever picks they wanted, but that’s about it. Dwight is just about ready to walk away from the Magic and leave them with nothing, so I would hope they’d be willing to entertain a reasonable offer.

But if not, no way I’d let Blake go; would much rather take a shot at just adding Howard during FA

I would do it without thinking, IF Dwight signed an extension

CP3, Chauncey, Caron, Evans, Dwight.

I like that teams chances of winning multiple titles.

You could probably trade Blake, DeAndre, Gomes. Bledsoe and get Dwight, Hedo and Ryan Anderson.

CP3, Chauncey, Caron. Anderson, Dwight…. Mo, Hedo, Evans. Sign any sort of competent backup SG (like I dunno, JR Smith when he comes back from China.

why would they have to trade Dwight?

he’ll be a free agent next year and can sign wherever he wants

J-RIDAH: Its not 1 player in this draft better than Monta or Lee. Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu. Andre Drummond could be good but he is not impressive at this point at all besides his size. This draft is hella overated.

Mo’ years..

Mo’ money..

But yeah, the pressure is really on Orlando if they want to get anything done and not let him walk away for free.

They don't have cap room for him

Theoretically, if he signed an erxtension, would you think twice about Blake for Dwight? Dwight’s better.. Their team is geared to win now.

are you sure they don't have cap room?

Billups is an expiring. They could probably dump DJ pretty easily (like on us, unfortunately).

Blake will be eligible for Derrick Rose Exception next year

(A player on a rookie deal who’s made 2 all-star teams).

Meaning he will be making something like 13-15 mil next year.

I thought you had to START in the All-Star Game twice

for the Rose rule to apply

Not worth it if they intend to keep CP3

As Tafkasam said, Blake will be eligible for the Derrick Rose Exception meaning he’ll get a big extension. If you add Jordan, CP3, and Blake the salary of that team will already be around 40-45 million dollars a year. They’ll just be like Miami depending on veterans and scrubs to fill out the roster and if I was a free agent veteran I would rather choose Miami.

His defense is lacking

And he’s been settlin for “popping” instead of rolling too often with cp3 but he is a beast. Take away the hype of his highlight plays and he is still a very good player. Add in what his dunks do to the crowd, teammates, opponents and his effect on the game is very obvious.
