He's arguably our best asset
Mike Malone for Dwight Howard, anyone?
J-RIDAH: Its not 1 player in this draft better than Monta or Lee. Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu. Andre Drummond could be good but he is not impressive at this point at all besides his size. This draft is hella overated.
Trade now while his value is high!

It seems like our front office & coaching staff gets alot of respect from the other front offices & coaching staffs around the league, but we get no respect from the players, so nobody wants to play here. Terrible.
look at Doc Rivers, Lawerence Frank etc.'s record with below par talent
You can’t turn a hyndai into a ferrari, no matter how much you work on it up. At the moment, this describes our management’s plans:

He should be our Head Coach
I see him to all the things a head coach would do. And Then dumbass Jackson comes In with some motivational Bullsh*t. Players don’t respect that. They like smarts, They like attitude behind the smarts, then they got to execute..
Jackson looks Brain dead sometimes, just standing there on the sidelines just watching the game, and during timeouts Mike Malone comes in and draws up the plays while jackson waits in the middle of the court then comes in and is like YOU GOTTA PLAY HARD, DO YOU WANT IT,THEN GO GET IT. This team does NOT need Motivation They Need a Direction
Sadly, I do not disagree with any of this.

Sorry for the rant
It’s just that these our grown men that play basketball as a their profession not an 8th grade basketball team. I would think that most players just want the play drawn up and then it’s their job to execute. No excuses basketball team. So the only excuse at the end of the year will be Mark Jackson, he’s sitting up himself with this BS…
The more they lose, the more this becomes an issue. If they win, who cares? Preach all you want, Pastor Jackson!

we all know they are going to lose
i love the warriors and have hope but damn this no excuse basketball team looks like a 16 win basketball team.
hopefully we get a top pick and a big name coach, which this team hasn’t had in yearssssssss
I think you mean: over a year.
With all due respect, I am a Analyst Hall of Fame candidate. If you are offended by my comment, I did write "With all due respect".

I think you're wrong
1) Our schemes and play-calling has generally been good. Whether it’s assistants or him, is somewhat irrelevant. All coaches rely on assistants, and fact he defers and isn’t stubborn is a blessing.
2) Our rotations have been better.
3) Don’t read into espn time-out footage. THey don’t show much more. Have you ever seen Celtics? Doc Rivers says same stuff. All coaches do.
Simply put, we aren’t talented, and our best player has been out. Our ball-movement sucks as a result.

Fine, but I’ll be pissed if I find a tweet from Mark Jackson about praising God while the game is being played. As it is, I am a little concerned he’s on Twitter so much. Then again, my boss should also be concerned I’m on Twitter so much, and GSoM, and YouTube, and…
We’re talking about Mark Jackson.

I think it was the TNT game, but I was amused when I noticed that you could see Coach turn the mic off every time he would say something to one of his players. One nice part about his tv experience is that he’s very aware of when he’s mic’d up, and he only lets them hear what he wants them to hear.
1.I agree with you, better coaches
2.Rotations are about the same just a much deeper bench than last year
3.I See this every game.Jackson just standing there with his hands in his pockets and his mouth wide open, no words coming out though. And plus Doc rivers has the smarts and the trust in his players to back it up.I think are players already have alot of doubts about jackson and themselves. The more they lose the more the player won’t trust. Hopefully Steph will get the offense flowing but he’ll snap his ankle completely this month

Don’t know. We’ll see when Steph comes back but still like benching him for Acie Law was ridiculous.
3.I See this every game.Jackson just standing there with his hands in his pockets and his mouth wide open, no words coming out though
I’m only going to comment on 3 games I’ve been to in person (because I believe, tv camera’s really don’t do justice to things like Coaches habits/posture or off-ball movement of players.
Jackson’s really active, yelling instruction and helping calm his players. I was impressed
I like about
Mark Jackson is he trust his rookies. even the new player. Trying to find combination perfect matchup. with no or little offseason games and training camps. I think so far so good. Imagine if Smart still our coach good luck with 7 men rotation in this brutal season.

Don’t agree at all. Drawing up plays is fine, but it’s not very high on the list of qualifications for a head coach. Motivation is higher, but it’s more than motivation – it’s about connecting with your players. You have to get the players to understand their role on the team, understand what decisions are good ones, which ones are bad ones. A lot of this has to do with trust – the players have to trust what the coach is telling them and respond to it, and that is completely about the relationship they’ve built with their coach. Additionally, in game coaching is very minor compared with the coaching done outside of the game. During practice, film study…that’s when basketball coaching really goes down. It’s about getting your players to understand how to execute. Once they get to the game, well, there’s not much left to be done. It’s all about how well prepared they are.

Speaking of Mark Jackson
Golden State’s hiring of him as head coach actually got a vote for “Most Surprising Move of the Offseason”
wonder who that was…
what's wrong with MFJ?? Regardless, it's pretty early to be tossing his career on the scrap heap
I think he’s doing well. I mean, sure, I’d love more wins, but it doesn’t seem fair to put the blame for our losses on the coach.
Can you point to any instances when his subs, use of timeouts, in bounds plays, or game plan actually caused us to lose the game??
truth is we are a good team, but it’s a really fragile sort of good. One thing out of place, and all the sudden we are struggling to beat the Bobcats. That’s not on the coach though. I think the team has looked good when fully healthy.

I think NBA coaches, in most instances,
don’t have a huge impact. I do think a bad coach makes a bigger difference than a good one.
I’m basing that claim on Jackson as evidenced by his non-experience and his inability to draw up a play…
I can't believe how bad the results on this poll were.
These are supposed to be NBA GM’s…wow.
