Salaries in trade scenario for Howard

No news about the Dwight Howard trade rumors here sorry. Just wanted to ask around if I'm looking at these salaries correctly in a possible Dwight Howard trade to the Warriors. The Orlando Magic would want GSW to take on Turkuglu's contract so in that scenario. GSW would be getting: Howard & Turkuglu; Magic would be getting: Curry, Biedrins, D Wright, Udoh, Thompson & K Brown (still not sure if we can trade an injured player). The GSW payroll would come to $58,938,786. The only way GSW would be able to retain Howard for next year and convince to not opt out of his contract would be to sign Deron Williams in the offseason and I thought this whole time that by with so many contracts expiring this offseason, we would be able to make room for D Will but it seems like Turkoglu is taking all of it. GSW would have 7 guaranteed contracts for next season: Lee,Ellis,Tyler,Jenkins,Howard,Turkoglu & Rush(qualifying offer) these 7 contracts only would sum up to $60,308,872 (over the Cap). Even if we rescinded Rush's qualifying offer, GSW would be sitting at $56,219,814. Deron Williams is set to make $17,779,458 next season should he decide not to opt out of his current contract. There isn't a chance for GSW to sign Williams without going over the Cap and I thought that a team can only go into the luxury cap if it is resigning its own players. Am I even close to getting this right? Can someone help? Unless they do a S&T for Williams and ship out Lee, there is really no way for GSW to sign him and that would essentially mean Howard wont stay. Again, please confirm

So

You can’t trade newly signed players for 2 months.

I just dont see it.

Paying dwill close to max would only make sense if we are paying him by the pound. He is getting fatter by the day.

Dwight is the best but he already said hell no. So screw him.

i was starting to think the same thing; nets are really not doing that good. But if you need deron to get diwight then it would be worth it. That is one thing about Dwight Howard, dude tries hard to win and he gives it his all every game. That can not be said for every single “super star”.

Man, there are so many good things about Dwight Howard. He gives his all every night. He never gets hurt. He’s the best rebounder and best defender in the league. He makes life easy for all his teammates. He scores with a combo of efficiency and volume equalled only by guys like Durant, Dirk and Curry (:-)). He’s by far the best player in the world at the toughest difficult position to fill. He just turned 26.

Vanishingly close to zero chance of his ever being a Warrior, alas. I’ve downscaled my dreams to just hoping he doesn’t end up a Laker.

There will be no extra point!

+1

Dwight had made it clear to Magic FO that if they could get him Deron and Monta, he would stay in Orlando…

Besides that, Deron and Monta would again have the Warriors with the best backcourt in the league, a bigger PG like Deron is the perfect match for a backcourt mate like Monta Ellis

Here is a scenario that could work

If GSW were to trade Curry,Thompson,Wright,Lee&Biedrins for Howard&Turkoglu, we would still be under the cap this season and with all the expirings at season end, we would have the money to sign Deron Williams. We are certainly going over the cap next season but with Dwight Howard, Deron Williams & Monta Ellis, ownership needs to go into luxury tax to contend for a championship

Again, it's not Dwight Howard's decision at this time

I know Dwight said he’s not interested and everyone is refusing to even think of scenarios to trade for him if he wont stay but like I’ve been saying over and over again. Dwight CAN be convinced to stay if we can build a winner!! All Lacob has to convince him to do is to not opt out of his contract this season and give him one more season to prove how Golden State is the right place for him.
