Let's Look to the Future
So now with the Warriors at 5-10, I truly do not think this team is going to make the playoffs. If not the playoffs, then we will be stuck in NBA purgatory for the next few years as our pick will go to the Jazz. Therefore, I have a proposal that will get this team planning towards to the future.
Trade Monta Ellis and Earl Barron to the Toronto Raptors for Amir Johnson, Jerryd Bayless and 1st round draft pick
In this trade, the Warriors would simply be making a salary dump, and getting some young talent in Johnson and Bayless. Bayless is an expiring contract anyways, so he doesn't need to fit in long term. We also get a first rounder in a deep draft and could luck out and get a very productive player.
For the Raptors, they basically would be giving away two players that can be replaced. Ed Davis is a younger player than Amir Johnson, so Toronto can be willing to part with him. With the outstanding play of Calderon so far, that makes Calderon expendable and they would be getting a 23+ PPG (their GM could fall for the notion of high PPG= great player) for decent players.
With this trade, team performance will decline, making the tanking more effective. With a lot of luck in the lottery, we get a top 3 pick and draft Jeremy Lamb as our future SG next to Curry!

It all started when we made the trade for DLee.
We could of had AR & Steph, Morrow & build through the draft.
"Ain't no way."- Monta Ellis. (when asked if someone can guard him)

I don’t think I could have survived watching another season of AR’s bone headed plays.

If we are going to lose, AR was funny to watch. Mr. Mean Mug…lol.

Me: So who (from the 2011 draft class) compares with (Anthony) Davis?
J-Ridah: Biyombo
Let’s look at the new GSOM logo.
better than the team’s bridge logo.
btw has everyone else’s screens turned the posting box brick color? Is this a comment on our 3 point shooters?

Oh god….
If you want to have a good cap situation and future you do not trade for a highly overpaid average PF and a mediocre combo guard . The pick is nice but we still would kill our salary with another overpaid big
RIP Al Davis

Thank you for your proposal
I’ll make sure Joe Lacob reads this.
Toronto is not trading their pick guys
they know this is a great draft
J-RIDAH: Its not 1 player in this draft better than Monta or Lee. Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu. Andre Drummond could be good but he is not impressive at this point at all besides his size. This draft is hella overated.
Dang Evans...ya let the cat outa da bag!

the cat has been out of the bad for a while
in fact the cat escaped some years ago in a trade for Marcus Williams…
the cat has not been seen since

We coulda had Kevin love
When mcchale was coach, he and love didn’t get along too well and there were rumors that minni would have traded love for Randolph. But the fo (and a lot of fans) were still enamored with Randolph’s potential and turned it down, iirc
It was either....
A.
I think that was just a rumor and wasn’t really true.
or
B. Not a rumor and the W’s tried that but Minn wasnt stupid enough to consider it.

How About...Warriors - Wizards trade
Warriors get: Mcgee, Lewis, Blatche, Young
Wizards get: Lee,Ellis,Beans,2nd round pick

Young and Blatche are AWFUL, Lewis is so overpaid, and McGee is a FA wh we’d have to give big money to along with all 3 of those other players. We’d lock up our salaries in the worst possible way. Go look at the Wizards, those players (maybe not McGee) are a HUGE reason why they suck

that is exactly why its a fair trade
I think people on this site over value Monta. He’s not even worth a top 10 pick in a weak draft, especially this years draft being deep. We all know this Curry-Ellis Back court does not work ,why don’t they just admit it and pull the trigger and trade one of them, hopefully monta for a big like Mcgee
Dude you don't get it
Blatche is among the NBA’s worst player and worst contracts, we were offered Ray Allen for Monta a while back if I remember right so I’m 100% sure we can trade him for a lottery pick if we really wanted to. Lewis has a massive ugly deal as well and if you hate Monta’s shot selection wait until you see Nick Young

we were never offered ray for monta
that was a baseless rumor that someone started on twitter and it all spread from the same fake source.
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
ray allen was a free agent that offseason, so there's no way that trade could even be discussed
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
Either way
Monta is always in rumored discussions for guy like Ray, Granger, Iggy etc. Im sure that is worth at least a lottery pick

those are rumors from this side.
the only real trade offered for Monta for OJ Mayo and Thabeet…..
sure the dubs may have want guys like Ray or Granger or Iggy for Monta, but sadly the other GMs laugh in their face when receiving those calls.

why
dont you be a Wizards fan if you want to root for that heap of garbage?
Colangelo would never trade a possible number 1 draft pick for a non-Euro let alone Monta Ellis...
I’ve said it before, Monta needs to change his name to Montague Ellis to get Colangelo’s attention.

i would love it because it would fudge new york over.
having both melo and ellis could either be very good, or very bad as both like the balls in their hand. Stat loves the ball too…haha it could get very ugly.

well to be fair
Monta played pretty well before he became “the man” in ny there would be no doubt that the Knicks aren’t “his” team. I think it can be a win win trade for both teams. Or it can blow up in both teams’ faces

This is the future.
As long as Larry Riley is the hand steering the ship, this is exactly what you should expect.
