Let's Look to the Future

So now with the Warriors at 5-10, I truly do not think this team is going to make the playoffs. If not the playoffs, then we will be stuck in NBA purgatory for the next few years as our pick will go to the Jazz. Therefore, I have a proposal that will get this team planning towards to the future.

Trade Monta Ellis and Earl Barron to the Toronto Raptors for Amir Johnson, Jerryd Bayless and 1st round draft pick

In this trade, the Warriors would simply be making a salary dump, and getting some young talent in Johnson and Bayless. Bayless is an expiring contract anyways, so he doesn't need to fit in long term. We also get a first rounder in a deep draft and could luck out and get a very productive player.

For the Raptors, they basically would be giving away two players that can be replaced. Ed Davis is a younger player than Amir Johnson, so Toronto can be willing to part with him. With the outstanding play of Calderon so far, that makes Calderon expendable and they would be getting a 23+ PPG (their GM could fall for the notion of high PPG= great player) for decent players.

With this trade, team performance will decline, making the tanking more effective. With a lot of luck in the lottery, we get a top 3 pick and draft Jeremy Lamb as our future SG next to Curry!
