When he catches and shoots without dribbling the ball, Thompson is literally the best shooter in the league. He scores 1.818 points per possession and shoots 63.6 percent on pure catch-and-shoots, better than any other player on an NBA roster.
Not bad for the 11th pick in a bad draft.

Ok cool
Now tell him to forever stop dribbling and become as good of a rebounder and defender as Leonard
RIP Al Davis

I’d actually like to see him develop more of a dribble game.

Not right now
He’s shooting the ball well, he doesn’t seem like the type of guy you should just throw into the fire. I think we should let him figure it out slowly

Leonard, in turn, should develop some type of motion resembling a jump shot.

Leonard sucks. Klay > Leonard
Klay reads the game well. He is always in a passing land, steal the ball without moving nor jumping. Klay is a good passer too.

have you seen Leonard play at all this season?
J-RIDAH: Its not 1 player in this draft better than Monta or Lee. Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu. Andre Drummond could be good but he is not impressive at this point at all besides his size. This draft is hella overated.
(JaVale) Mcgee is better than anybody in this draft.
yeah, last few games, single digit point, even when he played tons of minutes.

He isn't an awesome scorer and shooter
Thus he is no good obviously!

Maybe that’s why he has a higher scoring average, and plays more minutes for a very, very good team. Keep in mind that he is a defensive specialist, but still scores as well as Klay.
Leonard is good, but is gets a little annoying and repetitive when people constantly bring him up in an effort to disparage Klay. Klay was a good pick at the #11 spot in an average draft. Just because there is an arguably better player chosen later in the draft doesn’t change that fact. The Warriors weren’t the only team to pass on Leonard.
Ok yeah
tell him to be more productive and he’ll play more, and then he’ll have a chance at being a top 5 rookie in this class. Right now, he’s not even close.
I think there’s a problem when a role player who barely gets any touches leads your team in that category…Almost as bad as 6’3 Monta being our best post player.
Well, the whole “barely gets any touches” thing actually goes hand in hand with leading your team in 3pt%. It means he has the potential for random variation to help him out more, and that he takes more select shots.

and Jason Richardson has the best defensive rating for defense provided when supposedly sitting on the bench. Everyone has a gimmick and some poor sucker will fall for it.

if we could chalk a box on the parquet, and just planted him there for the entire game, he would shoot even better!
why not just nail him to a cross in the nearest night club and he’ll never miss.

SG of the future. Build this team around Klay and Steph. Unless we can move Steph for DHoward, I’d rather just build from scratch.
Move Ellis for a pick or 2.
Move DLee for a dump/pick
Move Andris for a dump/pick
Add in Dorell if needed to any of those trades.
Tank to a top 7 pick…have 2 picks in the top 10, and 2 more in the late first round for 2012. We could definitely rebuild!
Other option is to sign McGee in the off season and not change much else.

not totally

I always thought we still need a center to change this team, still do feel that way. But at this point, if we definitely can’t get a legit center, we have to blow it up.

MFJ should learn from Shane Battier..
or any of the offenses he has been in, he always wide open
He's Kyle Korver

Klay might be a better spot-up shooter
but not as good at getting to the line
although with the new rip-through rule, Kevin Martin’s scoring ability has been significantly diminished, because he can’t get to the line as much now (thank god)

hey Evanz, any thought on Monta getting to the line more this year?
my eyeballs are telling me he has been waaaay better at getting to the line. Do you agree with my eyeballs?

Hoopdata.com has free throw rate. Monta’s FTR of .32 is higher than it’s been since his second year in the league.

yeah, what MB said
he’s getting to the line a bit more not waaaaaay more

thanks to both of you
ok, cool though, up with his career best…
man, I’m really thankful that I have been able to lower my expectations to their current subterranean levels

It's amazing he's only attempted 2 free throws in 275 minutes.
