I was about to post this!

Watched this game. Still good player, who could be used in our rotation.

9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 block, 4-6, 12 minutes, +6

NO dirk.

23 pp36, 9.5 rp36, .645 ts%

He can still play. But of course we kept Udoh and Biedrins over him! As usual, Riley has poor ability to evaluate talent.

he's played 80 minutes in 9 games for a team that needs more size

I don’t think we made a huge mistake even in hindsight

J-RIDAH: Its not 1 player in this draft better than Monta or Lee. Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu. Andre Drummond could be good but he is not impressive at this point at all besides his size. This draft is hella overated.

(JaVale) Mcgee is better than anybody in this draft.

he's better than advertised

the last year or so people were not as high on him

i thought he'd be a bust

his lack of physicality, no fluid spot up, size

but he’s pretty much carrying my fantasy team right now. im on the bandwagon

It's lonely being the only Warriors fan at UMass :(

meanwhile, i dont get why minnesota didn't max klove

A legitimate chance he only signs a qualifying offer now if they don’t 5 year max him.

Him + rubio is a nice core. Especially if dwill comes along

wait what?

Kevin Love and the Timberwolves have reached a compromise contract this morning.

The All-Star forward will get a four-year contract extension that will enable him to become a free agent after three seasons if he chooses. That would be the summer of 2015.

Or the Wolves could extend this new contract two more years at that point, if both sides agree. So, in essence, this contract would be a six-year deal if that happens.

The four-year contract will be worth almost $61 million.

Love tweeted at noon: To #twolves fans: I’ll be in Minnesota for 4 more years! Excited to see you when I get back to Minneapolis.

reminds me so much of a young jason kidd

The defensive potential (he’s not bad defensively but needs work) and length too. Not quite the rebounder kidd was but still a plus rebounder. But way he runs a team in transition, pushing, the vision etc.

And he’s making a surprisingly high percentage of 3s (mostly set shots I imagine)

I’ve only watched Rubio once against the Clippers, but I was impressed by his D – definitely above where I thought it’d be by a lot. He anticipates well, and has a great combo of size/length for his position, and he was putting in a lot of effort. I thought he looked like a solid defender already, with a lot of potential to get better.

i think its funny

When I spoke to guys who played in euroleague last year they said ‘he doesn’t fit europe at all, but get him in nba where its less half court, more open court uptempo he’ll thrive’

Seems a couple random euroleague players understand what games translate to nba better than riley and his ‘proven college player’ scouting. Please larry, tell us about josh howard once more!

even with all that said

look where he stood in the ACB RAPM ratings last season:

oh crap

didn’t know he can get up like that!

go go gadget arms!

by disguy on Jan 26, 2012 11:57 AM PST up reply actions

Really? What was the reason you thought people held out hope he’d become good? It definitely wasn’t his rebounding of physicality…

by Missing Barry on Jan 26, 2012 6:16 PM PST up reply actions

That he'll develop a hook shot in the post

His eyes were almost at the rim! Never seen him jump that high in a dub uniform before. He was hurt 75% of the time.

did you even watch him play when he was on the warriors? lol
