Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

I think it would be worth exploring a trade with the Bucks for Bogut. If they want to win this year, which they might. They might take a healthy Lee in a trade for a hurt Bogut. We might have to take back a bad contract back or give up a young player, but this might be our best chance at a real center.

He's good when he is healthy

To say Lee is a liability on defense is an understatement. Bogut is a 2 way player. Also the trade will help us tank this year.

He’s good when he is healthy

But the problem is that he is not healthy…

They can take biedrins + udohnal and give us a pick

Our tank will be in full effect with lee as our only big. 2 picks and a gigantic Aussie next year

Then we can rest steph. Rest monta

Start Jenkins, klay, dorell, lee, Tyler. Surely that lineup can’t win enough games to lose our pick. Plus klay and Tyler can benefit from pt without actually helping us win now

You’re getting rid of a horrible contract… for an even worse contract…

by NICKelodeon on Jan 28, 2012 3:52 PM PST up reply actions

At least one of them earns at least a bit of his money

And Gooden actually wants to be in the Bay Area…he’d be extra motivated if he came. I remember he was absolutely furious when St. Jean passed up Gooden for Mike Dunleavy in the draft…

Not really

Andris gets paid 9 mil for 3 more years every year, Gooden has 1 more year then Beans but akes about 3 mil less then he does and isn’t a dead weight. And when Gooden gets down to 2 or 1 year left he can be a decent trade chip

Uh, don’t.

Gambino is a mastermind...

by GovernorStephCurry on Jan 29, 2012 10:34 AM PST up reply actions

Meh, not really. Curry’s got a higher assist rate, much higher rebound rate, much higher steal rate, much better scoring efficiency, and (as one might expect) a much better adjusted plus-minus. This despite playing on a gimpy ankle. Jennings fouls less and turns the ball over less, but I don’t see how that outweighs all the other stuff.

There will be no extra point!

These are big issues and why I think he’s having a better season. Didn’t say I wanted him more, but he’s gone from an abomination to a starting caliber player with potential (just 22).

The defense, I won’t comment on, because he has a much better team around him (defensively)

I would be down to try

the only problem I foresee is that Bogut was their big draft pick…can’t see them letting him go for chump change. I would still feel it out, would be willing to do something like Monta + Udon

Lets think about this

Monta and Beidrins for Bogut, Drew Gooden and Jon Brockman
If they want to sub in Beno Udrih, I would do it to.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat and I think the warriors can convince the Bucks to do it also. They are currently tied for the 8th spot and may want to push for the playoffs.

The warriors would get immediately worse, and get to play their young guys. They can play it like the Celtics did with Pierce, rest Bogut and get the best draft pick they possibly can get. If they can trade Lee to another team that would be great also, if not oh well.

But next year you come back with the two most important positions on the court covered with Center and Point Guard. You also add a piece in the draft, and you are starting to look at a solid team.
