Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

The injury woes of the fourth-year guard out of Davidson continued on Friday with another ankle injury.

Update: Good news. According to Marcus Thompson, Bob Myers said that Dr. Ferkel (who performed Steph's surgery) is not concerned about this latest ankle incident (I'm not calling it an injury). There's also some good news in there about Bogut, that he's progressing on schedule.

Update: Marcus Thompson is reporting that coach Mark Jackson will rest Curry the remainder of the preseason as a precaution, though he added that he "isn't concerned" about Steph's ankle. Good news? Bad news? What do you think?

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry suffered a sprained ankle and was forced out of Friday night's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden, according to SB Nation's Blazer's Edge blog.

Curry will not undergo an MRI, and he will be held out of the remainder of the game for precautionary reasons. He suffered the injury just before halftime and headed to the locker room favoring the right ankle that he had surgery on in April. Curry has had a history of injuries since entering the NBA and missed 40 games a season ago because of ongoing issues in both ankles.

Prior to leaving the court on Friday, Curry scored two points on 1-for-2 shooting and dished out four assists. He played 11 minutes before exiting. Reserve guard Jarrett Jack will likely see an increase in playing time in his absence.

The Warriors are battling the Trail Blazers in Portland and are seeking their fifth win of the preseason under head coach Mark Jackson.
