Golden State: Everyone loves Klay Thompson (including me), an old-school two-guard who defends well, shoots 3s and gets to the rim. If you're Golden State, would you rather pay Thompson a rookie-scale salary these next three seasons … or Harden four times as much? In a vacuum, you'd pick Thompson because Harden doesn't bring you any closer to a title these next three years. I floated this idea before, but if OKC seriously isn't going to pay the tax or dump ibaka or perkins, would you sign and trade Klay Thompson (+ what'd be a one year expiring of Biedrins or Jefferson) for Harden?
He's approximately 5 months older than Klay, and much more proven.
