Paul Lukas published his annual Uni Watch NBA Season Preview today. Always a good read if you haven't taken a look. If you're a regular reader of Uni Watch you'll be familiar with much of what Paul covers, but there were a couple of Warriors nuggets that came as news to me.

First:

The Warriors are expected to come out with an alternate uniform this season. No details yet on the design, though.

Awesome. Let the speculation begin! And maybe even a design contest!

Of course, the first assumption we'll all have is that it'll be a yellow set, possibly with the primary blue logo on the chest, and otherwise the same as our current unis. But that leads in to the next nugget:

Another widely reported leak involves the Christmas Day uniforms and "winter" uniforms.

What sick mind came up with THAT design?! What a terrible idea — every single one of those jerseys fails at respectability. (The original article has some other images, pulled from 2K13, but not of that GSW jersey.) Being that the hideous Xmas uni is all-yellow, I wonder if they go a different route with the "primary alternate".

The last Warriors nugget: the 2012-2013 NBA Uniform Requirements diagram portrays a cartoony guy of ambiguous ethnic origin in a Dubs uni. It's also definitely worth reading about the uniform requirements if you haven't done so before; you might be shocked and appalled at the degree of stodginess.
