I've been a long time fan of the warriors. When I was 12 years old my dad took me to my first Warriors game, I was so excited, and from then after I became a die-hard GSW fan. 9 years later, this season has been the one I had the most hope for; a great center, an amazing backcourt tandem, a promising small forward, and yet for some reason it seems to be more of the same.
I didn't mind the tanking last year, nor the lackluster coaching, but now that we have all our pieces on the board, it feels there's still something missing; a hole if you will. I guess it's a number of things and many of these issues have been pointed out by our fellow peers on GSOM, but I enjoy reading posts on my spare time, so maybe viewers may enjoy reading my observations regarding this season and some changes I would want to make:

First, I think it was a horrible plan putting Bogut on the court so early, it brought unnecessary pressure to our prized center when he wasn't even ready to play on his injury. I know it was only 20 minutes a game and no back to back play, but I feel that the Warriors FO executives are so hell-bent on climbing out of the gutter that they are missing the point. How can we play without a leg to stand on? What if due to not being 100%, Bogut became re-injured by playing some garbage 20 minutes a game. Not only would it be a waste, it would be a travesty. I wasn't always the biggest Monta fan, but trading him and Udoh for a center we would play and re-injure because he wasn't ready would make the FO look like a sham after an amazing offseason. I do like the fact that they are resting Bogut for a few games, but they shouldn't have put him out there in the first place.
My second point probably doesn't come as a shock to you, but I am a little ticked at our free throw shooting. In the first seven games of the season, we are the 6th worst free throwing team in the NBA percentage wise (right above the Lakers thank god). Honestly, not the biggest deal in the world if we didn't have the 4th most attempts. Some of the games we are playing are so close, a few more hits at the charity stripe would put us over that edge. I just don't get why the Warriors don't put in the extra money to hire a good free-throw coach like in 2010-11 when we hired Mark Price to improve our FT percentage. These players get paid a ton to hit shots like free-throws, why not take the free points?
My next and last observation is GSW coaching. I wasn't the happiest camper when FO hired MJ after the Smart firing of that other coach (bad pun), but I gave the guy a chance regardless of the Tank season. Now, however, I think it's time for a change. I did enjoy the attention MJ gave to Thompson to build him as a player, but I'm not liking the treatment of Harrison Barnes thus far this season. I don't feel that the rookie is receiving the same attention, maybe it's because MJ doesn't trust him and is pressured to put some wins on the board, but we need to build this guy into a threat. I have some other quips, but I guess a few other main ones would be rotations, the lack of any real offensive plays or organization, it goes on. I feel now that the Lakers have gone into the direction of ousting Mike Brown in favor of D'antoni, maybe the Dubs could follow suit and pick up Van Gundy, Sloan, or somebody! Even letting Malone step up and take the position would be an upgrade in my opinion. We'll see what happens.
I see a lot of potential for this team this season and hope things start looking up, but 3-4 isn't the start I exactly pictured before the all star break last year. Regardless, I am always a Dubs fan at heart and will be praying for the best. Let's go GSW!
