This is a worst case scenario. I still think they are better off. Ezeli is way better than Udoh and it is a more evenly balanced team. The center position is still quite weak offensively, but the D is pretty good, even Beans is not making me puke when he walks out there. The guy is hustles and is defending the rim. This is the best he has played in three years.
Thompson has been struggling, but he will be OK and the combo of Barnes and Klay is better than Monta. It was a stagnant, boring team. It is still a little boring, but assuming no Bogut, the future is still better than with ball hogging Monta, that went as far as it could.
As for a truly lousy trade, the corpse of Richard Jefferson was a complete waste. I would rather have Stack Jack. If we still had Rush, I think it is a 40 win team without Bogut. Now, it looks like about 35, right about where it was with Monta ( save the we Believe team). But these young players (Curry, Thompson) have not come anywhere near to topping out, which they would not have done if Monta were still here, Nor would we have Barnes, who will be a ten year starter in this league, maybe even an all star.
No matter what Barkley says, I dont see Bogut NEVER Playing. But even if he does not, the team has a brighter future.
