Barnes and Biedrins

for

Varejao and Casspi

My thoughts:

The Cavs aren't gonna be a title contender anytime soon and might be interested in pairing Barnes with Irving and Waiters. They would also suck even worse this year and get a better shot at the number 1 pick in next years draft. Who knows maybe a change of scenery might benefit Biedrins too.

Why do it if you are the dubs? Well..... I think with Varejao in our lineup we could have the best 1/2 combo and best 4/5 combo in the league. Varejao could put us over the hump this year to be legit title contenders. A big man rotation of Lee/Bogut/Varejao for the next 2 years is unbelievably awesome. Also turning that awful contract of Biedrins into the league's leading rebounder would be a great move.

Bogut's and Varejao's contracts both come off the books after next year, and we can sign which ever one is the best fit for our squad after that or both if it works out for everyone.

As of right now, I hope Draymond gets 30 mins every night the way he's playing. He played so well against the heat that LeBron came over in the crowd of Dubs to give him a hug after the game (the only dub he did that to). LeBron just confirmed what I've been saying all along about Draymond Green, that he belongs in this league and is a force a quarter into his rookie season.

I hate losing Barnes and his potential, but I see a window to make a splash here. Barnes is a project on a ready to contend now team. Whatever Barnes potential is, I doubt it will have more of an impact on the game than what Draymond does consistently every night.

It seems like a trade that could benefit both teams to me, what do you guys think?
