this piece is a great example of typical hypocritical sports reporting

first, start the article making one assertion (losing lin is on pair with losing Parish)
then, for the part nobody reads (rest of piece), point out why the earlier comment not makes no sense (Lin had done NOTHING in the eyes of fans, players, media, coaches, that could have predicted what his doing now)

Those of us who were aware that Lin’s greatest weakness, his lack of a jump shot, was something that was most likely something he could improve, thought he had real potential. Quick first step, tremendous composure, pesky defense and awesome ball handling? I wanted the dude here. (No, I am not Asian; I just spotted his talent).

I'm the soul brotha' like no other!

Haha, that's all on Smart

Smart’s speciality: Play on player’s weakness. This is why Smart keep asking Lin to take midrange during last year’s game.

Lin actually helping Warriors...

Knicks 6 wins straight and Warriors 3 wins straight. Pretty sure Curry wants to prove something. Haha…

Here's how we still could have had Lin. If we picked Greg Monroe, then there would have been no need for DeAndre Jordan. Sweet. Happy VaLINtine's Day!

Playoff team
PG – Lin, Curry, Jenkins
SG – Ellis, Curry
C – Monroe, AB, Tyler
PF – Lee, Kwame, Dom
SF – DWright, Rush

"Go ahead. Make my day."

Please...

Jackson would have burried Lin on the bench.

A Sonics fan without a team... but after 7 seasons now of GS Warriors season tickets have convinced me to adopt the boys from Oakland.

I think Lin would have got a shot at backup PG

I’m sure he would have if we’d had time to evaluate his improvements and find a place on the roster for him but it wasn’t a priority as we had plenty of backup options.
If we’d kept Lin he’d have worked his way into playing time and woulda been a nice surprise but he wouldn’t have had the opportunity to turn into linsanity here as we are too guard deep. What happened was the best possible thing for Lin and didn’t really bother us much other than the lost value we coulda have gotten from his improvement.

He's far from becoming a star and is more of a product of sytem, high confidence and free pass for everything while they are missing two players.

A solid player but far from a star imho. Sure it would be nice to have him but that’s like calling portland idiots because they drafted Oden and Bowie while at draft day 90 % of “those” people would do the same!

On the other hand, if Chandler played for Warriors, Chandler will get zero pick and roll chance.

Oh, you mean Beans is not rolling, DLee is not rolling, and non of the player wants to roll?? I see, it is the whole team’s fault, not Monta, not Curry.

newsflash: He already is a star

everything form here on out will be just gravy

yeah, everyone did what they shoulda done and the odds just didn’t work out.
Kinda like seeing some irresponsible idiot spend all their money on lottery tickets then actually hit a big one and come out looking smart. It’s not pretty but all you can do it forget about it and move forward.
