If you all thought Fitz was bad

Have you guys ever listened to the Blazers commentators? They are putting me to sleep. Super monotone.

Yep. They're bad.

I think Rockets and Mavs are by far the worst, though. The Houston commentators, especially Matt Bullard, are the biggest homers ever and Jeff ‘Skin’ Wade for the Mavs is a giant douche. Much prefer Fitz over those two crews.

It’s a shame you can’t choose the home or away call on League Pass.

As a resident of Sacramento who is constantly exposed to the Kings announcers, I respectfully disagree. I’d rather fall asleep than have to listen to their loud-mouthed, know-nothing homers.

In my opinion, Barnett makes Fitz tolerable.

yeah fitz isn't so bad after all.

i mean they have to be somewhat homers because they are color commentators. Fitz may annoy me sometime, but he is good.

Fitz's problem isn't his voice...

…which is pretty good. It’s his lack of basketball knowledge. If you combined Fitz’s voice with Barnett’s basketball knowledge, you’d have a damn good commentator.

Portland's play by play man is decent.

Mike Rice is the problem.

I can’t stand a bad play by play man. I’ll take a generic pbp man who doesn’t overrule his smarter colleague and whine all day over Fitz. JB is good but not enough to make up for Fitz, imo.

Nuggets duo is the worst of all time

Scott Hastings complains about every single call that goes against the Nuggets and everytime they miss a shot “they were fouled and didn’t get the call”.
I’m serious every single time.
It is the most obnoxious tandem (the play by play guy is almost as bad as Hastings) you will ever listen too.

Why can you not choose home/away broadcast on League Pass?
It makes no sense to me.

You'd think for the money, you'd get an option.

I hate when I have to listen to the other teams’ announcers. Sometimes, its more than just the announcers that suck, too. I’ve seen networks that do 5 minute pieces on players not even on their team. Like, do you really think your fans want to hear more about Blake Griffin and LeBron than they do their own team. Overall, if I’m going to be listening to biased announcing, I’d much prefer it to be Fitz.

One of them is clearly a worse homer than Fitz and neitehr is fun to listen to.

My bottom 3 broadcasting teams I’ve encountered in no particular order:

Bulls
Cavs
Blazers

Overall, though, it seems a lot of teams have at least one guy who kinda sucks. Even a guy like Fitz compares favorably to a decent amount of them.

Fitz is annoying, but there are definitely worse out their. I can’t stand the Kings announcers. Napear is a complete homer blowhard and Jerry Reynold might be the most boring announcer in the NBA.
