Well, this could get ugly. And I don't just mean Memphis' throwback jerseys. (Cuz those are horrific.) Warriors looked in a bad way against OKC, Ellis got banged up (but is expected to play), and back-to-back games on the road are tough. The Grizz are 6-point favorites. Let's hope for the best (which depending on your viewpoint could mean a gut-it-out-on-the-road-win or a throw-in-the-towel-tank-job-for-a-high-draft-pick-loss). Read the SBNation preview here.

Dorrell always steals the ball, but NEVER goes after the loose ball. So annoying.
Also, I see Steph is up to his normal tricks – with the extremely bad and careless passing.
The sooner this team is blown apart the better!

Warriors always play with my emotions. They’ll have stretches where they’re playing great and I want them to gun for the playoffs. Then there’s nights like tonight where I’d rather us lose the rest of our games so we can keep our draft pick.

Jackson says that his relationship with Bucks head coach Scott Skiles is irreparable. He doesn’t appreciate the way that Skiles has handled this situation, describing his benching as disrespectful.

Except that his improvement hasn't come from "counting stats."
Somehow his FG% (and TS%) have shot up. You wouldn’t expect that to happen with bad teammates. On the contrary, trying to do more would usually, one would expect, HURT your TS%.
But he’s gone from bad (around .500 for the early part of his career) to solidly above average (.560) for the last two years.

Yeah the thing is that basketball is a finesse game that pretty much makes physical contact a foul....
problem is that the modern NBA is so fast and physical that it just becomes that way.
Doesn’t change the fact that it’s by far and away the worst officiated sport, that’s just why it occurs
i don’t watch much college ball but i always find myself surprised at how well the games seemed to be officiated

Well Icing, offsides, handpass, are all calls that don't lead to penalties, but do stop the play.
Hockey is designed to not have a lot of penalties.

icing and offsides aren't really judgment calls though
so they’re not missed very often, and when they are, it’s painfully obvious. and yes, my point was basically less penalties/fouls called = less opportunity to influence the game.

Apparently
Biedrins may have subtly, intentionally committed the final 2 fouls in the 4th to take himself out of the game. I’m waiting to rewatch the game on OnDemand to see if that’s true.

I really like to get Biedrins in there for 4 minutes to start each half, I want him to just break enough of a sweat that he is forced to shower after the game.
The only rookie I want to play is Klay for the time being because he’s elite and will win ROY.

I saw the last two fouls
First foul – fouled Gasol on a hook shot. Gasol drew contact by lowering his shoulder, refs called it. Not sure what could be done there except not play him as closely.
Second foul – fouled Gasol on an offensive rebound for Gasol. Gasol had inside position and got the rebound, Biedrins tried to stop him and committed the foul.
I don’t think he’s purposely fouling out – I just think that he isn’t afraid to play physical and is a little careless with fouls because he knows he won’t be out there long

OK, I just saw his last two fouls
and I think you’re right. I didn’t see anything that looked like an intentional foul by Biedrins to get out of the game.
I do wish Biedrins would show more fight and argue with the refs or something. Those were kind of crappy foul calls. But we all already know about Biedrins.
