Bye bye Earl

Recalled Chris Wright..

He was killing it in the D-League (which isn’t saying much, unfortunately)

wait....why did we bring Wright back up again exactly?

do we need more PFs?

don’t get me wrong, I’m all about the Wright brothers, but this just looks like we traded on bench warmer for another

I do think we need more PF's

Udoh comes in for Biedrins and there’s no one to give D Lee a breather. Jackson has been trying to use Tyler there but not working too well.

My only question is why not use McGuire a lot more, Jackson keeps rolling with D Wright & Rush at the 3 so why not plug McGuire at the 4 more often as a backup to D Lee

by Babyface Assassin on Feb 6, 2012 1:42 PM PST up reply actions

McGuire's minutes are almost all at the 4

and by far the most (52 min) in a lineup with Thompson and Rush playing the wings and Udoh at center. he’s had 17 min. playing with Lee at center, and less than 10 min. in any of his other floor combinations. C.Wright would obviously give the offense many more options than McGuire can, especially if Udoh or Biedrins are at center. He does seem more like a wing, but the team already has Thompson, D.Wright, Rush, and Ellis.

I see Wright as a 3.

by J-RIDAH on Feb 6, 2012 1:52 PM PST up reply actions

so do I

but Jackson uses him at the 4, I just think his defense is so great that we should use him more, wherever that is

This is what I dont get when Warriors fans say the team refuses to rebuild. Right now its 3 rookies on the roster, 4 when Wright comes back. If we can find a way to sign a real C were a playoff team. Wright is a enigma tho. I dont understand how a guy his size can rebound so well and play like a big man when he’s shaped like a wing player.

U joking?

He’s talking about a realistic option. No way Phoenix or Portland trade them – Gortat is good and Portland is on a playoff run. Lopez is injured and nobody knows when he will be back.

There is zero chance that Biedrins starts for a playoff team. There is not a more thirsty chemistry sucking vampire in the league!

And Biedrins could start for Miami right now. Any team that needs a post defender that can rebound and not score could use him.

by J-RIDAH on Feb 6, 2012 2:30 PM PST up reply actions

Miami could ot fit Biedrins $9 million salary in their cap structure and be the same team. So take Bosh or Wade off that team. Also if you assume any backup to Biedrins is worse than Biedrins, then that team becomes laughable and if they make the playoffs it is only because the East is so weak.

With all due respect, I am a Analyst Hall of Fame candidate. If you are offended by my comment, I did write "With all due respect".

by KillaContract on Feb 6, 2012 2:50 PM PST up reply actions

well obviously they wouldn't pay him 9 million

when he comes off the books look for teams to make a push for him at FA… woudln’t be surprised if he made $4-5 million. Most teams see his potential and think the issues are mental. And Im sure he’d break it too considering that team would most likely give him more regular minutes than the sporadic ones that Jackson gives him. I want Biedrins to play more… He’s our best post defender, our best rebounder (two issues we have), and if he gets confidence he’s good at pick and roll and cleaning up on the offensive glass. I just don’t see the point in benching him when it’s clear that he is doing his job well. We shouldn’t be worried about offensive power: we have Curry, Ellis, Wright, and Lee… You cannot tell me that rotation lacks the ability to score.

by Nith on Feb 6, 2012 3:16 PM PST up reply actions

Curry, Ellis, Wright, and Lee… You cannot tell me that rotation lacks the ability to score.

Actually this line up does struggle badly to score late in 4th quarters.

I agree Biedrins has mental problems. He has had 5 NBA coaches already. If you think one more will help then obsessive-compulsive disorder applies.

are you seriously arguing that a team with lebron and wade would only make the playoffs because the east is weak?

Only rookie in the 2012 draft thats made a difference has been Kyrie. Klay is hella impressive tho.

by J-RIDAH on Feb 6, 2012 1:51 PM PST up reply actions

Were they supposed to look like difference makers?

Klay looks every bit as good as advertised. He was the 11th pick, you don’t expect a star in that slot, especially in their rookie year. As for Jenkins, he was a 2nd round pick and he hasn’t played much. We know very little. Tyler was supposed to be a project.

J-Ridah did you really just say having 3 rookies on the team is “rebuilding?”

Just about every team gets 2 draft picks per year. So by having just one more rookie they are rebuilding?

Looks like the Miami Heat are rebuilding cuz they have some rookies, lol…

What was the point of picking him up in the first place?

Someone remind me. Man, we were flailing when we made that move — he literally provided almost none of the same things we lost when Kwame went down.

So, does this mean we’ve resigned to rebuilding and are planning to play and develop our rookies? Has Lacob finally seen the light? Mark Jackson’s finally starting to sound like he’s giving up…. This could all be good news!

by Lacob's Ladder on Feb 6, 2012 2:56 PM PST reply actions

Steph for Brook, anybody here with it?

by J-RIDAH on Feb 6, 2012 3:16 PM PST reply actions   1 recs

no just because

Steph can get you more… Nets don’t need a tiny guard even if he can shoot the lights out. Deron is an ideal guard to play against but I can’t see Steph really developing next to him, not to mention the Warriors would never do this.

If I had to trade Steph it wouldn’t be for a young player of his caliber… I’d want at the very least a John Wall (and before you say that he’s way better and the trade would never happen, I agree. However Wall isn’t going to prosper there and he’s been playing bad on that squad). But if we trade Curry we need to trade Monta as well… He’s still not a PG and assuming we want a PG back for Curry they probably can’t coexist well with Monta at SG (who by the way still plays horrendous defense).

by Nith on Feb 6, 2012 3:20 PM PST up reply actions

Deron cant get you any better than Brook. And the Nets know Deron is walking if Dwight dont get traded there.

why? not much cap space to save and Brook is not better than Curry. I would do Monta for Brook + 1st round pick tho.

NOOOOO!

Brook, as in Brook Lopez? Are you insane? Stephen Curry rebounds just about as good as Brook.

by G-State on Feb 6, 2012 4:50 PM PST up reply actions

Let’s trade Steph to Charlotte for their first round pick. They’ll get a homegrown guy, from North Carolina, went to college in North Carolina, and who completely fills their arena any time the Warriors play there. For a franchise that is floundering in terms of attendance, and whose finances can’t be all that great, maybe they need some type of marketing shot in the arm. There is no better guy they could market than the Golden Child who single handedly put the College of Davidson on the map.

by Slightly Hyphy on Feb 6, 2012 7:15 PM PST up reply actions
