Should the Warriors be looking to get into the middle of the first round to draft this guy?
He is the best passer I've seen in college in a long, long time. Could have an immediate effect like Rubio is having. A pure PG is rare, and would get Monta/Lee and others so many easy looks. I've been noticing, when Steph takes care of the ball, and effectively moves it, Monta and Lee's effectiveness jump thru the roof. Both have shown to be very efficient scorers when set up (high assist% scoring, synergy spot ups). And both have shown they are not very effective in iso situations.
Perhaps the move isn't to dump them, but move Steph for a quality player (position regardless) and find a pure PG, who wil maxmiize them. Especially when you consider the small trade value Monta and Lee have, and considering the value Steph shown on the trade market (CP3)
Regardless of position, I'm confident this guy will be one of the most impact-ful players in the draft, and we'll kick ourselves over if we miss on.
sidenote- we need a fanshot, not related to Jeremy Lin, so here it is.

Kendall Marshall
He’s basically Jeremy Lin with better passing and worse shooting
If you're watching a blowout, you can pass the time by counting the double teapots.
Samurai Champloo > Macross
I gif stuff
Don't believe everything you read on the internet - Abraham Lincoln
Good god. Should we just rename this "JeremyLinBlogspot"?
What’s chris paul? BAsically Jeremy Lin but better passing and better shooting?
LEbron? Basically Jeremy Lin but bigger
This is impressive
But, most of the highlights are against Long Beach State, who are basically the Jeremy Lins of College basketball.
Right
but when you consider he’s lead nation 2 years in a row. And this year at a rate higher than anyone in NCAA in last 10+ years. Why couldn’t he walk into our team, and rack up assists, especially when pushing the tempo
Honestly, I was just looking for a way to create a comment that had Jeremy Lin in it. If we’d just make my proposed Curry to CHA trade, we could definitely land this guy.

No one will ever come close to Jeremy Lin
…..he was our savior
Not very impressed with this video
I wouldn’t even go 2nd round based only on that video. He’s on a stacked team with a lot of guys who know how to move into the right spots and finish. With NBA level defensive rotations, those looks are shorter and smaller windows. I’d like to see him excel on a team of Jeremy Lins and see what he really has to offer.
Additionally, no jumper = no NBA in my book. You don’t draft a guy only to pass. You draft a guy who can score and teach them to look for the pass (eg: Steph Curry).
Hmm
I don’t know man. His assist numbers dwarf Paul and Kidd, who were two best collegiate passers i’ve seen.
12.8 per 40 minutes. Leads country
For reference, Chris Paul was 7.9, John Wall, 7.1
Infact searching DX’s data base, no one in their 10 year data of NCAA is at his rate. It’s really impressive, the way he runs the open court, his head is up. People said Rubio would have same problem. We have guys who can shoot and who can finish. He’d walk into this team and rack up assists. Elite passer.

Apparently Minnesota didn’t agree when they grabbed Rubio…

Kendall Marshall's passing is more like Curry, not like Lin
The youtube video shows all his passes are long passes around the 3pt line area, very similar to Curry’s crazy / risky passes. What we want is a pick and roll passer, a short distance lob city passer, like CP3, Nash, and Lin. With NBA speed, Marshall’s pass will make him another turnover machine.

like CP3, Nash, and Lin
This made me laugh. ;)

Jeremy Lin?
This is why people laugh when fans act like they are GM’s or scouts. Its 2 games guys, 2 games…
Willie Green scored 37 points one time, OMG we need him on our team! Willie who?
Lets relax. Its just like everybody labeling Klay Thompson a bust because he shot poorly in his first 2 games. People need to relax, its insane.
I hope Warriors front office people are not thinking the same

Haven’t seen him play this year, but saw him play last year a few times and was really impressed. Has he taken a step forward at all? Definitely a guy on my radar.
Just more in command
A bit more aggressive.
Honestly, he impresses me more than anyone in UNC. And when they struggles, hes usually the one to step up with the best D, creating the most, and usually goes hardest to rim int these situations etc.
I really think Rubio is an excellent point for his nba-future. Get him in an one court game, and he’ll skin opponents. You really can’t teach that kind of awareness/vision. Probably won’t score more than 10-12 points a game, but who cares if he’s creating easy looks for others all day?
What’s interesting, is you look at someone like Harrison Barnes-
Harrison Barnes points per possession on: catch-and-shoot/no dribbles: 1.39 PPP, 1 dribble: 0.86 PPP, 2+ dribbles: 0.64 PPP

Almost all created by Marshall.
He’s setting an NCAA record (based on DX database, which goes back to 2000) on assists per 40. Pretty insane, in my opinion. 12.4 per 40, when the average leader in other years is around 9 per 40.
Tafkasam..i could not agree more; im a PG fan as well.
"That was very funny about the old man basketball skills. One is lucky to escape injury when playing against those crafty, crusty sumbitches. And it’s just demoralizing when they demonstrate yet again how to use the backboard from range." - Charlie Custer
