that was cool

J-RIDAH: Its not 1 player in this draft better than Monta or Lee. Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu. Andre Drummond could be good but he is not impressive at this point at all besides his size. This draft is hella overated.

(JaVale) Mcgee is better than anybody in this draft.

i'm probably the only guy who was annoyed by this pass when it happened

Because it was such as showboat, high risk pass. I can just see defenses sitting on it, turning that into a steal next time, like Curry’s one handed passes. And then we’ll be groaning about it.

It's not that I don't like flashy passes.

In fact, I thought it looked great. But I don’t like that Curry is experimenting with it when he still needs to work on his soft entry passes and careless turnovers. In other words, I want Curry to tighten up and clean up his game and make it solid and consistent before adding in these highlight passes.

Didn’t look like an experiment to me as much as just an instinct/reaction. Sometimes creativity just comes out of nowhere.

You can’t really limit his instincts because he has trouble in another area. An entry pass is different than threading the needle.

Curry of last year would have thrown the first pass attempt.

Glad to see him fake it, and thread the needle instead of a careless turnover.

Gambino is a mastermind...

When I saw it happen, he faked me out and I was like “OH NO…another left-handed, one-hand pass….” I totally saw the turnover happening, but then he cocked it back and instead threw it with his right-hand with the better angle. That was impressive.

I also don’t think he planned to fake it like that and then throw it with the other hand. I honestly believe it was all out of instinct.

Yep, my impression, too. Just showing off his creativity. Those are the kinds of things people see from Curry that make them say he’s a PG – the unteachable stuff.
