Keith Smart = Dumb
This just shows just how dumb Keith Smart was last year. How is Keith Smart even coaching in the NBA? He overplays Monta, sits Curry and Reggie Williams, plays maybe the worst NBA player last year Acie Law.
D’Antoni was slow, it took him 20 games, but Keith Smart had an entire season to be stupid.
We have no PG
man, even when Nate is out, we suck!
Need to think outside the box. Maybe we need PG, not C.

I like how Keith Smart is still dumped on when he led a Warriors team, with a weaker roster, to a better record then what we are likely to have this season. Also don’t see Jackson doing anything different with Ellis other than reducing his minutes some.
Lin was an undrafted rookie who played in the Ivy league, usually not a strong NBA talent pool. No team in the league was going to give him a lot of burn.
Lin fell into a good situation, he was given an opportunity to prove himself considering the Knicks lack of options at the PG position, and he has killed it.
weaker roster?
for the most part, steph was healthy last year. he has not been healthy this year. that makes a huge difference.
steph played in 74 out of 82 games for smart, and has only played in 13 out of 22 games for jackson.
"Anthony Davis is no different than Al Farouq Aminu." - J--Ridah
Me: So who (from the 2011 draft class) compares with (Anthony) Davis?
J-Ridah: Biyombo
Steph still missed games last season, David Lee missed games last season and we still found ways to win games with an inconsistent bench at best. This year, besides the center position, we have a lot more depth on this team, but are not performing near last years level.
We had a -2.3 per game point differential last year. Wanna guess what it is so far this year? Did you guess -2.3?

-2.4 this season if you want to split hairs, but even if I am wrong statistically and we are performing at last years levels, don’t you think we should be doing a lot better than we are now?
Last years team finished their final 55 games one game under .500 and I don’t see this years team having a similar strong finish the rest of the way.
Healthy Curry will help. I think this years team should outperform last years team, but given that Biedrins seems to keep getting worse and worse…I really don’t think it matters much. We’re just a mediocre team.

THREE STRAIGHT WINS
The past 3 wins Jeremy Lin has played against Deron Williams, Devin Harris, and John Wall and has put up:
- 25 points, 7 assists, 2 steals.
- 28 points, 8 assists, 2 steals.
- 23 points, 10 assists, a steal and block.
Jeremy Lin has succeeded at every level he’s played in. Fact is every single scout was wrong from HS, college, to the pros. Nobody can deny now that his racial markers held him back from opportunities. He was the only California state HS player of the year ever to not get a D-I scholarship. He goes an has Harvard’s best seasons in 50 years, outplays 1st round picks at UConn, BC, and Georgetown, and goes undrafted. He outplays John Wall in summer league to earn a minimum contract. He dominates D-league but rots on Keith Dumb’s bench all year. This year he puts up a triple double in D-league, and in his one, ONLY OPPORTUNITY with legit NBA minutes he immediately breaks out and is now on a hot streak. If Jeremy Lin had a different last name he would have started for UCLA then get drafted top 10.
Chandler is a good player but Chandler didn’t play big minutes in Lin’s second game. They’ve also been short handed without Amare and Carmelo. Jeremy Lin has made fringe players like Jeffries and Novak look good because he has such great court vision.
Lin also held Deron Williams and Devin Harris to a combined 5 for 18 shooting.

Don’t think anyone ever claimed they did? He looked slow and mechanical before the draft and while here at GS. If he’s gotten the game straightened out folks will recognize it . Being chinese never was a problem for Yao or Yi so i don’t see why it would be for Lin?

Is it too late to trade Curry for Lin?
Curry and Lee for Lin and Amare lets do it!
Acie Law is still better

Keith? Is that you??
You need to focus on coaching and not hanging out on a fan site.
props to Lacob
wasn’t he the one who scouted him and wanted him on the roster? Waiving Lin and Amnesty Bell for an Offer to Deandre Jordan. Seriously, that move really had wayyy more risk than reward.
yeah, free up $500K to sign Jordan??
If LAC gonna match or not match, it won’t be due to that extra $500K. What are they thinking?!

. What are they thinking?!
The obvious was they were thinking they had too many guards and needed the roster spot for more bigs. It’s not that hard to figure out.

The whole Jordan thing was a dumb move
Reggie, Lin, and Bell may have been players they didn’t want. But they could have gotten “something” in return instead of losing them for nothing. Not to mention the amnesty.
It’s not that hard to figure out.
Not to mention the amnesty
don’t, cause it makes no sense.
apparently lin, reggie, and bell were not worth something to anyone who wanted to pay us anything for them.

Good for Lin..Happy for him...
hope he scores 25 and 10 every game here on out….if we didnt’t already have a good young pg in Curry this would hurt, but it doesn’t at all…can root for Lin to blow up…did a better job not turning it over tonight and shot great from the field….Congrats Jeremy
