The Warriors Short and Long Term plan

Asked to move this from Fanshot to fanpost....

With the acquisition of Jefferson and a pick (fingers crossed).

My take on the Warriors short and long term plans...

Is next 2 years we’ll be a playoff team. I’d say 3-4 highest if everyone's healthy and fulfills potential, 6-8 more likely.

-Curry will likely play better without Monta. Make a push at becoming an all-star.

-Bogut gives us a lot of what we need and a potential top 5 center.

-Because of both those things, DLee will play better, and Klay will continue to develop.

-If everyone's healthy, it's a safe assumption we make the playoffs.

Then, we got Jefferson, Bogut, and Biedrins expiring in 2014 (approximately 34.3 million), giving us a lot of flexibility.

In the meantime, we build up a name, we continue stockpiling assets like Klay, and keep our ear to the phones in-case we can make ‘the big move’ down the line in a season or so. We'd have expirings and talent. And if not we can enter free agency in 2014 with a lot of cap space and a better name to sell, some pieces in place.

What do you all think?
