(SB Nation Bay Area, Avinash Kunnath) Many believe the Golden State Warriors are not going to take the last month of the season quite as seriously as other teams. The Monta Ellis trade made it easy to think that the Warriors were giving up on this season and the team would be moving to focus on the draft.

This next signing probably won't boost too much confidence for Golden State fans. Warriors.com made the announcement that they signed Mickell Gladness to a 10-day contract.

Prior to joining the Heat for their 2011-12 training camp, Gladness appeared in four games for the Dakota Wizards, the Warriors' NBA Development League team, averaging 7.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.75 blocks in 20.8 minutes per contest. Overall, he has appeared in 81 D-League games over three seasons, averaging 4.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.41 blocks combined with Dakota and Rio Grande Valley.

Gladness is a 6'11", 220 lb center from Alabama A&M, but hasn't played much in the NBA. Gladness signed two ten-day contracts over the Miami Heat, averaged 3.5 minutes per game over eight games played, averaging 0.3 points per game, 0.3 assists per game and 1.4 rebounds per game.

Not terribly impressive, but Golden State does need frontcourt depth with J.J. Hickson getting claimed off waivers by Portland when the Warriors were waiting to scoop him up.
