The Warriors finished February at 7-6, but still find themselves outside of the playoff picture in the West, though a playoff berth is not entirely out of reach with two months to go in the regular season. The Dubs started out the month at 4-2, but lost three straight following a crushing loss at home to the Blazers. Big division wins against the Clippers and Suns helped the Warriors close out the month strong.
February Standings
David Lee 2 1/3
Monta Ellis 2 1/3
Stephen Curry 1 1/3
Lee picked up even more of the scoring load in February, and continued to show his offensive versatility. Lee averaged 19.9 points for the month and picked up the slack in games against Portland and Atlanta when the rest of the team could not find its rhythm. After a rough first month, Monta returned to his expected production in February, leading the Warriors with 24.2 points a game for the month while shooting at a 45.5% clip. His 48 points against Oklahoma City, his 33 each against Utah and Houston, and his game winner in Phoenix were standout performances.
