I disagree with his main points. He's saying that even if we were to jump into the top 7, we still may not even get our pick. That is true, but he doesn't even state how unlikely it would be if we were to jump into the top 7. At this point, it looks like we could very well drop to the 6th worst record in the league, which would leave us with about a 4% chance of not keeping our pick. He also states that we might not get the really good player that we want. He states that Curry, Udoh, and Thompson haven't gotten us over the hump and that the next player might not be able to do it too. Personally, I'm not expecting a star if we get to keep our pick. I'd be fine with a solid starter or even rotation player. If we could get a player who is on the level of those three, I'd be more than happy. It's way better than nothing.
