Lee, who averaged 20.1 points and 9.6 rebounds, said he has been shut down for the season because of groin and hip injuries that have been troubling him for the past couple of weeks. The Warriors' doctors performed an MRI exam on Lee on Friday and found a stress reaction that risked severe injury with continued play.
"It's unfortunate, because I wanted to finish out the season strong," said Lee, who had gone through a sleeve of pain medication since initially injuring his hip. "I was willing to go through any means necessary to try to play these last games, but the doctors didn't leave any gray area for me."
