Wait, the Warriors (23-41) WON this past Sunday at Minnesota? WTF?! That's it, I'm tanking this preview, starting with the mandatory picture. Fire Mark Jackson, btw.
Welp, the Dubs still have a chance to finish in the bottom seven. They absolutely cannot win tonight vs the Hornets (20-44).
TANKFULLY, New Jersey plays Toronto this Thursday to close out the season, so one of those teams has to finish with 23 wins, tying the Warriors assuming the Warriors lose the last two games. The Warriors have lost both head-to-heads vs NJN and the one vs TOR. Okay, don't fire Mark Jackson.
To borrow from Evanz...
TV: somewhere | Radio: are you serious?
Blog Buddy: At The Hive | Blog Buddy Preview: nope
Things to look for tonight: Marco Belinelli's return to Oracle (my prediction: big game), Eric Gordon at the 2 vs Klay Thompson and Greivis Vasquez at the point (his agent is Scott Nichols who graduated nearby from Cal, currently lives in LA, and also reps other Cal players such as Patrick Christopher). I hope to speak with Vasquez before the game; I remember at the 2010 Draft, his supporters cried as his name was selected. Cool stuff.
Btw, Chris Kaman and Emeka Okafor are out.
Poll
Who wins tonight? (Basically a poll of confidence in the Warriors tanking properly)
Warriors (238 votes)
Hornets (383 votes)
