-Trade Richard Jefferson, and 7th pick to Dallas for Shawn Marion. Both contracts are similar, same length and Marion provides a huge upgrade at SF for the next 2 years. This also rids us of a non productive/bad contact player in Jefferson. Dallas would probably be game for the 7th pick right?? They do not look poised to go the distance again with their current makeup, they could use a little youth infusion with a high draft pick. Dallas could even use their amnesty on Jefferson to clear up some room for Terry/DWill/ whoever they are going after.
-Trade Biedrins/Tyler and 30th pick to NO for Okafor. Once again, same type of scenario, use our assets to turn non productive contacts into productive ones that could help us win now. NO could bite on that with salary relief, a decent upside player in Tyler and a late 1st right? Its not like they are gonna win a title with Okafor by the time his contract expires, so they would do well to acquire 2 assets in Tyler and the 30th pick while shedding some salary with Okafor. Hell, they could even amnesty Biedrins right??
-Sign Delonte West
-Draft a Big with the 35th pick
-Draft a Euro project with the 52nd pick
That to me looks like a solid/well balanced team with tons of depth. It has the ability to morph into a bigger better defensive lineup playing Okafor at the 4 with Bogut, or we could play Nellie ball with Lee at the 5 and Marion at the 4. It really does give us a plentiful amount of options. This to me seems like the best most reasonable scenario that the Warriors could swing this offseason to improve our squad, and get rid of our problems.
So, the 2 questions I have are, are these deals possible or am I just trippin thinking we are offering fair value to the other teams?? and, If this did happen, how good would that lineup be??
