The Golden State Warriors will finish up their stint at the Las Vegas Summer League today against the New Orleans Hornets at 3:30 p.m. with an opportunity to finish 5-0.
Although Anthony Davis is not playing for the Hornets' summer squad, their roster still features 2012 first round draft pick Austin Rivers. Pac-12 fans might recognize Matthew Bryan-Amaning as well who played his college ball at the University of Washington on the team that beat Klay Thompson and Washington State in dramatic fashion in the 2011 Pac-10 title game.
Check out the Hornets' full roster here, the Warriors' roster here, and the full remaining schedule for the day after the jump in addition to a few things I'd like to see from the Warriors today.
1 p.m. -- Portland Trail Blazers vs. Miami Heat
3 p.m. -- Dallas Mavericks vs. San Antonio Spurs
3:30 p.m. -- Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Hornets
5 p.m. -- NBA D-League Select vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
5:30 p.m. -- Chicago Bulls vs. Los Angeles Clippers 7 p.m. -- Memphis Grizzlies vs. Phoenix Suns
7:30 p.m. -- Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics
I'll be at the Warriors' game again today somewhere on media row and here are a few things I'll be watching for:
- Charles Jenkins: At this point, he's likely not going to finish summer league with a good assist to turnover ratio unless he gets double digit assists today. But one thing that would be nice to see today is doing a better job handling pressure. Marquis Teague gave him major problems early in yesterday's game.
- Harrison Barnes: I liked what I saw from Barnes offensively yesterday in terms of improvement if nothing else - and wrote about that in more detail earlier today - but it would be nice to see more from him on defense. His struggle seems to be on ball defense at this point, so I'll be looking for that more.
- Festus Ezeli: Would love to see him convert a post move into points.
- Maalik Wayns: I still want to see this dude play in a Warriors game.
