My take: We shouldn't offer more than 4/40 before the season starts. Steph might take a gamble and go for that contract. I don't think he'll settle for less before the season starts. It's a risk for both sides. If he has a great season, he'll get more obviously. But if he has a bad season or gets injured again he won't even get close to this "lowball" offer. Let's see.
