I cannot recall a player we have drafted that has inspired such a wide range of expectations. It seems some expect a bust while some expect a superstar. The pedigree, the body, the shooting form, the intelligence, the hype, the work ethic is all there. The handles, the passing, the heart, the first step, the intangibles, all are questionable.

On the one hand, I've read some compelling pieces that point out that Barnes college projection (a decent reliability factor but by no means perfect) point to him being a decent role player. I was happily surprised when I read that current rookies think he will have the second best career, after Anthony Davis, and coming from players that goes a long way in my book as well. It tells me that they agree with some posters on GSOM that Barnes has only scratched the surface of his game and that he is better suited for the NBA.

Summer league wasn't a good measure, but I would say he left a so-so impression. So, before the season starts - let's hear where Barnes will be in 5 YEARS.

Will he be a super star (Paul Pierce level), an all star once or twice (Iguodala level), a guy who gets all star like numbers but never makes the cut (Rudy Gay), a solid starter (younger Caron Butler), a starter who struggles (Dunleavy), a perennial bench SF (James Jones), or overseas in five years?
