I'm probably an optimistic Warrior fan, but I feel like we can catch the Clippers for the Pacific Division. Since schedules are mostly the same over the course of the season, I find it interesting to look at where in the schedule we can gain ground (games where the Clippers have lost and we have yet to play) or lose ground (games we have lost, but the Clippers have yet to play).
Here's a table showing all games the teams have played and their results:
+1 for a win, -1 for a loss. Clippers totals are subtracted from Warriors totals. Total of -4 shows that we are two wins and 2 losses behind Clippers in standings (2 full games).
Built-in Schedule Differences:
|Warriors extra games||Clippers extra games|
|vs POR||at MIN|
|at UTAH||vs OKC|
|vs MEM||at HOU|
|at SAS||vs NOP|
Where we can lose ground: @PHO, @DAL, @MEM, @SAS, @CHA
Where we've already lost ground: vsHOU, @HOU, vsSAS
Where we can gain ground: @ORL,@MIA, @ATL, @BKN, vsIND
Where we have already gained ground: @CLE
This 7 game road trip is even more interesting because of the losses the Clippers have already suffered in these games.
Hope you find it as interesting as I do to track!
