Warriors at Knicks: Postgame Interviews (2/27/13) by Warriors
Mark Jackson
On the game:
“I’m extremely proud of my guys. We might have been overmatched at times, but our guys didn’t quit – they continued to battle. It was a phenomenal performance by Steph (Stephen Curry). The Knicks made some big shots and big plays, but I’m very proud of the way our team played.”

On Stephen Curry:
We were short-handed and needed a performance like that to have a chance. He (Stephen Curry) put on a clinic. He knocked down shots in all areas. He led us in rebounding. I’ve seen a lot of great performances in this building and his goes up there... That shooting performance was a thing of beauty.

More on Stephen Curry:
I let him go all the time. The sad thing is to the audience, that was Stephen getting hot, but to us that’s just who he is. He’s a knock-down shooter in the highest regard.
Stephen Curry
On tonight's game:
“I felt good all night I obviously played the whole game so I was trying to keep my legs underneath me on the offensive end and stick to the game plan on the defensive end. Once I started to see that three ball going down in transition and all sorts of spots over the floor I knew it was going to be a good night. I found some open spots in transition and was able to get good looks when I’m able to get good looks and see the ball go in a couple times and then you start to find yourself open each position I had confidence to rise up and take it no matter where I was on the floor. Guys got me open on screen-and- rolls was able to get in the paint a little bit and try to stay in the game and make it interesting in the fourth quarter but obviously we didn’t get the win though.”

More on tonight's game:
“There is a lot of energy in that arena for both teams when I started putting up some numbers. When I made a couple shots you could hear the crowd a little bit and obviously when they were knocking down dagger threes it was electric so it was kind of running off adrenaline down the stretch and taking advantage of the TV timeouts (which are a) little longer than normal. I knew it was a good night just didn’t know exactly what that meant you don’t want to jinx yourself because you obviously want to get the win, or try to get the win .”
Jarrett Jack
On Stephen Curry's performance:
“It was incredible by Steph. Without him tonight, who knows what the score would have been. I think he took it as a personal challenge to put it (the game) on his shoulders with David (Lee) being out and he just put on a phenomenal performance. I just told him that I have never been a part of anything like that in my life.”

Notes

- No interesting notes tonight.

What's next?

- We'll get Lee back on Friday. And we need to win at least one of the next two games to salvage a 2-3 road trip. And more spicy Curry!
