Don't Panic

The Warriors have seen a very rough stretch recently, after losing 6 in a row to Houston, OKC, Memphis, Dallas, Houston again and Utah they were able to defeat the Phoenix, the Spirs and Minnesota only to drop three close games against Indiana, New York and Boston. Worse yet the Warriors seem to be anything but a lock for a playoff spot, With Houston only having one less win than the Warriors. Today the Warriors face Philadelphia on a back-to-back road game, which despite Philadelphia's record is anything but a guaranteed win.

There is room for optimism though. The Warriors play much better at home than on the road and after today's game there are 16 home games left compared to only 6 road games.

3/4 at home vs. Toronto: The Raptors seem to be a lot better without Bargnani, yet still they are a mediocre team. The Warriors have the advantage playing at home and not on a back-to-back. This game is a should win for the Warriors.

W

3/6 at home vs. Sacramento: The Kings have posed a problem for the Warriors earlier this year, but they are on a back-to-back and the Warriors are not, also the Warriors are at home. This game is a should win for the Warriors.

W

3/8 at home vs. Houston: Houston gives the Warriors a ton of problems, Houston is not on a back-to-back. Simply to make a pessimistic prediction, lets put this one in the loss column, although it could go either way.

L

3/9 at home vs. Milwaukee: Milwaukee will be well rested and the Warriors will be on a rare home back-to-back, the Warriors still have home court. The last time these two teams met Milwaukee won a close game, I expect this game to be close, but the Warriors to prevail with the home court advantage.

W

3/11 at home vs. New York: These teams match up fairly well, both teams will be rested and the results could go either way, again to be pessimistic I will give the Knicks the narrow victory.

L

3/13 at home vs. Detroit: The Warriors have a home court advantage against a team with an inferior record, this game should be a win.

W

3/15 at home vs. Chicago: The massive home-stand ends against the Bulls. Both teams have a similar record, both teams will be rested. The Warriors do have the home court advantage so I will hesitantly give the Warriors a win here.

W

3/17 on the road vs. Houston: On the first of a three game road trip the Warriors take on Houston. Houston was able to defeat the Warriors on the road and at home already this year, so I will have to give the advantage to the Rockets.

L

3/18 on the road vs. New Orleans: This is a hard one to call since the Warriors will be on a back-to-back, also the Hornets will be on a back-to-back. Judging by the fact that New Orleans will probably be tanking by this point I will give the slight advantage to the Warriors.

W

3/20 on the road vs. San Antonio: If there was any game that was a guaranteed loss this would be it. Of course the Warriors will play hard, but San Antonio will probably be victorious.

L

3/23 at home vs. Washington: Just as the Spurs game previously is as much of a guaranteed NBA loss as one can observe, this is a win.. The Wizards are on the road on a back-to-back. The Warriors will be well rested.

W

3/25/13 at home Vs. LA Lakers: The Warriors are at home and rested, the Lakers will be rested too. Both teams will be fighting for the playoffs and the Lakers have defeated the Warriors previously this season, just to be optimally pessimistic I'll give the Lakers this one.

L

3/27/13 at home Vs. Sacramento: The Warriors will be rested and at home vs. Sacramento who at this point should be in tank mode. Although the win isn't guaranteed it is a should win game.

W

3/30/13 at home Vs. Portland: The Warriors have two things going for them, one is that Portland will be on a back-to-back while the Warriors will be rested, the second this is that this is a home game.

W

9-5(pessimistic prediction for March(excluding today's game, every game is actually winnable, except the road game vs. San Antonio.))

4/3/13 at home Vs. New Orleans: The Warriors have the advantage, playing at home.

W

4/5/13 on the road Vs. Phoenix: Both teams will be rested and although it is a road game, Phoenix should be in tank mode.

W

4/7/13 at home vs. Utah: This will be one heck of a game. The Warriors have a home court advantage, both teams are rested. Utah has been troublesome before, but the teams are evenly matched. I hesitantly give the Warriors this game.

W

4/9/13 at home Vs. Minnesota: This game is hopefully going to be a Warriors win, as it is at home vs. a team with an inferior record.

W

4/11/13 at home Vs. Oklahoma City: You can never pencil in a win against OKC.

L

4/12/13 on the road vs. LA Lakers: This is a back-to-back for the Warriors against the Lakers, who will undoubtedly be playing for a playoff spot.

L

4/15/13 at home vs. San Antonio: Just like with OKC you can't pencil in a win against the Spurs.

L

4/17/13 on the road vs. Portland: Portland at this point will probably be tanking, this game isn't a guarantee, but it is a probable win.

W

March record: 5-3

Even counting tonight's game against the 76ers as a loss the Warriors will under pessimistic predictions win 47 games this year. That will probably be enough to make the playoffs. Probably at the 6th seed, although it is going to be close.

With that being said the Warriors need to go into the playoffs as a better team than they have been playing as to advance from the first round.

Hopefully we pick up a win tonight, so the probable win total will be 48.
